saved documents from template with embeddded images are way to big
I have made a Word template for a customer of mine. In this template I have
embedded some graphics such as a logo and a pay off etc. I also put the
address in it as a graphic because of the special fonts that it used.
Then I have saved the template in the template map and it is 250 kb big.
My problem now is that when I open a New file from the galery (so from my
template) it looks fine...

Non-Priniting charaters
Posted this in another news group...may not have been the correct one. Sorry

Have a word doc with comment fields for the user to fill in. I would like to
add a line of instructional text that doesn't print. I have created a text
box and inserted the text in the box, then un-checked the "Drawing Objects"

Resolution problem when inserting Corel Designer graphics as onjec
Dear all,
for many graphics in my PhD thesis, I use Corel Designer 10. I would like to
insert the figures as object (from file) in my Word-file, but have some
problems with the resolution. Is there any way to enhance this in Word, e.g.
with object import settings, or should I change something in Designer?

Drawing
I cant draw anything in Word 2003 although I can click on the tools i.e.
click on textboxes and the cursor changes to a pointer and a canvas comes up.
But cant draw ias t just deselects whenever I try to draw on the canvas.
Plus I cant resize textboxes as they become objects rather than editable
textboxes. The same is the case for lines and Autoshapes, I can WordArt and
drop pictures ...

I can't view what I pasted into Word document
I write a lot of manuals for our company. I take screen prints of the
software and paste them into a Word document. I did not have trouble with
this until I got a new laptop. It has XP.
Now when I open any document with screen prints in it, I cannot see the
image. The page will be blank except for the typing. I have to actually click
within the image and drag the mouse a little ways bef...

Word 2003 graphics quality
When exporting Word-files to html (Word 2003), the pictures dpi/ppi/size is
changed. I have earlierfound a checkbox that says something about keeping
pictures as they are when exporting, but now I can't find where that checkbox
is.
Does anyone know where I can find this checkbox ?...

how do I change the background colour of a footnote, end note?
I have started a new project and am puting together a headed letter, one of
the logos is in the foot note and I wanted to change the background of this
area from white to green, so the whole panel at the bottom of the page will
be green. This way the logo will really stand out.
Can anyone help please?...

stencil font
I am making a poster and the font I prefer to use is a stencil font but it is
not on the version of Word I'm using (2000). I also searched for it on
windows site but nothing....

I need a text symbol.
I've looking around for a symbol I want to paste in alond with text in a word
document. This is the symbol used in measurement for "square foot". It's
simply a square with the foot measurement symbol near the upper right corner....

Word Page Border Art
Is there anywhere on this website or somewhere that I can install what I
need for for the page border art? I have had Word and XP on this
computer for so many years, that I have no idea where I have put the
install CD's. My son took a bunch of stuff when he moved out so it's
possible they are mixed in with his stuff and he's like 2000 miles
away.

Photos in Word
Photos do not show up in any Layout but show up in Print Preview and
when I print. I recently received Mactopia newsletter describing
'Beginners Guide to editing images' on a Mac. For example, it says on
the Formatting Palette, under Image, to click Red Eye. I can't find
Image. I am using Microsoft Word for Mac, Version 11.2.
Any help would be appreciated.

Changing the colors on a logo
I need to switch the color of my companys logo. Half of it is one color and
then the other is another but my boss wants it switched. I have tried
everything I can think of to try to do this but nothing is working. Does
anyone have any suggesitons?...

helvetica font
One of our users can select to use the helvetica font on Word 2003 but the
fonts is not listed under \\winnt\fonts. Another one of our users need this
font in Word 2003. I compared both PCs and they seem to have the same
software installed. Am I missing something here; can anyone tell me what
software or something loads the helvetica font on the PC.

How can I create labels with my clipart?
I am trying to address labels using a picture that is in my clip art. I can
put the picture on the label but when I type the address it can only go below

Why can't I insert a scanned image into my existing document?
I scanned five images and saved them as jpeg images to my computer. I went
into an existing document and tried to insert those images one at a time
using Insert File and Insert Picture and both times all I saw was the outline
of the bottom of the image. Anyone know why?

Match a Color and Gradient
How do I match a color and gradient in an existing piece of line art? I tried
to match it using the RGB scale, but couldn't do it. Is there a way to sample
it, or perhaps great a lineless rectangle that contains the proper
color/gradient that I can use to cover up what I want to eliminate?...

tiff files only show a box when inserted in Word or Outlook. Why?
When I insert tiff or other graphic files all I can see is the box outlining
the graphic insert. Any insert cannot be seen by me. This occurs in Word
and Outlook and our PC guys have checked all of the settings and can't find a
cause. They reload Office and it works for a little while and quits again....
