'breadcrumbs' in header with conditional styleref
Just want to toot my own horn ... been wrastling with a problem that
was reported in several outdated posts: how to get a header to show
"breadcrumbs" in a complex document, eg so that it says "Heading 1 >
Heading 2 > Heading 3 ..." for whatever's on the current page (I have
a document with 8 levels of header and was wanting to show the
navigation on each page).

Pictures
I know this is probably a very basic question -and solution - but how do I
convert a picture in an oval or circular shape, making it more attractive
than the standard square or rectangle? Can I then put a border round it, and
if so how?

How can I get a list of fonts used in a long Word 2003 document?
I have a 370 page Word 2003 document. In it I must use 10-15 fonts (Hebrew,
Greek, transliteration fonts, etc.). I must have inadvertently used a
restricted (non-embeddable) font. When I go to save and embed fonts, it
crashes. When I try to create a PDF file, it crashes. Is there a utility that
will read a Word document and list restricted fonts used? It probably is only
a word or two in...

How do I insert a picture into autocorrect in Word 2003. I know how to set
up the autotext, but that's not what I need. I want the autocorrect to

No save as option under the file menu. How do I add it back?
When I launch my word application and click the file menu I only see the
“save as web page†option, I no longer see the just “save as†option. I am
using Word 2004 for Mac version 11.2...

Lost data
A colleague has a long document created in word 2003 (he is the only one with
this version) Which his 30 pages long with nested tables.
Anyone opening it in word xp gets a truncated version with four pages.
However opening in wordpad shows all the text (but obviously no formatting)
(and file size checks out)
Anyone any ideas what is going on here

Word should allow custom line spacing between list items
Word 2003.
The paragraph format dialog already has a "Don't add space between
paragraphs of the same style" option. I'd like an "Add a space of x points
between paragraphs of the same style" option, where x is variable. This would
be useful for formatting bulleted and numbered lists.

Word 2002 and 12 month calendar template
I have one of the 12 month calendar templates that I downloaded from
Microsoft. I update this calendar a couple times each week. The problem is
that when I click on the file to open it, the cursor is at the first position
in January. Therfore, I always have to scroll down to the month and day I
need to make a new entry.
Is there not a way to have the document open with the cursor set...

Compressing picture does nothing in word but works in Powerpoint
Could someone please help.
When I place a picture in a word document, crop it and then 'compress' it
has no effect on the file size at all. But when I do the same thing in
powerpoint the file size reduces considerably.
Why is there a difference?

Templates
Recently someone has been messing about with the template in Word and
consequently when Word is opened there appears to be a square box at the
beginning of the document. I have increased the font to
500 point in Times New Roman and it is definitely a box rather something

I want a form field to figure a date based on the letter date.
I am creating a form letter for work with fields to be tabbed to for specific
dates and amounts. Several of the fields are dates that are 14, 29, and 39
days ahead of the date of the letter. I wants those fields to automatically

various distance of equations
Hi,
there is a Word text containing plain text, mathematical equations and
pictures.
When text with equations flow around the left side of picture, the distance
of beginning of equations is different from that when there is no picture.
It seems,
that the picture has influence on the difference in aligment of beginning of

I would like to restrict Modifyiing/Deleting comments made by by other users
in the Document.
They should have edit capability to the their comments on the document.

disappearing autocorrect and autotext entries?
I added entries to the standard directories for autocorrect and autotext.
The auto features worked well for weeks. The entries are missing from the
auto directory today. The only thing I can think of that I did new in the
meantime was to add a Microsoft wireless desktop keyboard and mouse....

Error WORD-printing
Hi,
my document is about 30 pages. If I go to preview or print then i get
only to pages with content of different places. All text in the
document is underlined with dots without my formatting.
If I copy something text in a new document, the dots under the text is
visible too an the printing is wrong to.
Know there anywhere, what is wrong here?

AddressLayout Bug in Word 2003
Has there ever been a fix for the AddressLayout bug described in KB Article
292127 (If you use Tools, Letters & Mailings, Envelopes & Labels, Word 2003
ignores whatever you have so carefully set up in AddressLayout) or are we
