Can I change the length of a text form field?
I am trying to change the length of a text form field. The field shows up as

First Page Footer
Hello,
I am trying to solve a mystery in one of my files. It does not contain
section breaks and just has one header and one footer running throughout the

My mouse is no longer working to navigate in Word. Help!
The click and drag feature of the mouse is not working in Word. This is the
only place that it does not work. The mouse itself is working fine except in
word. I cannot use it to select anything or move the cursor to a specific
point in the document. Any ideas? This is very annoying!...

i want to close the document without prompting me messagebox to sa
For example I got a document and i have typed something. when i close the
docuement either from top right (X) for close from menu. It prompts me
message box to save the document.
What i need i dont want that message box to come up. It should just close
the document without saving any changes.

template backwards compatibility
Two questions please:
Q1. I am to coordinate writing a technical book with many contributors. I

editing (moving) footnotes
When I move a footnote (by dragging the reference mark) - it doesn't renumber
properly. That is, footnote 4 is dragged to the end of a paragraph, with no
intervening footnotes, so it should still be footnote 4 in its new location;
yet, Word renumbers it as footnote 5.

LINENUM formatting
I've given up on trying to make the numbering work and decided to try the
LINENUM field code. However, I can't figure out (or find in Help) a way to
format the numbers. They mimic the font of the style, but I need to color
them and make them bold.

How do I reinstall only one of the programs from the Office CD?
I need to reinstall Word, and only Word, from my original Office 2003 CD. I
tried to do it and somehow ended up deleting all the other Office programs

How do I save an auto text signature?
Long ago I created an auto text signature in Outlook 2000 that I used in
Word. I want to change that signature and I now have Office XP Home Edition.

Word points to wrong NORMAL.DOT...?

I run Word 2000 SP3, and can't seem to get it to point to
the correct Normal.dot.
Here are the details:
This is a new installation (I toasted my old desktop).
A search of the complete system shows that I have only one
Normal.dot in a folder called F:\Templates.
