How do I reinstall only one of the programs from the Office CD?/re
My aplologies. Previous message was mistakenly labeled "Suggestion for
Microsoft" instead of "Question".
I need to reinstall Word, and only Word, from my original Office 2003 CD. I
tried to do it and somehow ended up deleting all the other Office programs
(no problem, I did a System Restore). When I insert the CD in the drive I get

overwrite mode goes on and off
While typing in word documents the overwrite mode comes on and off. This also
occurs while typing in blogs or web documents like Live Journal. Has any one

How do I eliminate warning about ~$ZWDAddin upon starting Word
Whenever I start Word, directly or with Outlook, I get a message titled
File Conversion -~$ZWDAddin
select the encoding that makes your document readable.
i have no idea how to eliminate this recurring message....

horizontal line freeze
I'm having problems when i open the horizontal line window ( Format->Borders
and shaders->Horizontal line), it freezes Word when loading the styles, i
restart the pc, and even Detect and Repair Word, but i keeps doing it, what
can i do?

Showing Changed Lines
Our office recently switched from Word 2000 to Word 2003. We are having
trouble setting the document to print showing marked changes as we had in the
past.
In the past when the document is done our track changes are set so deletions
are changed from strike through to hidden, insertions changed from underlined
to none and the changed line indicator is left showing on the left border.

Microsoft word opens then closes
Hello,
I am running Microsoft word 2003, I can not open the program, it only opens
for a few seconds then it flashes and closes. I reinstalled the program yet

Complicating Drop Downs

Stop Word from capitalizing new lines
The question:
- How do I stop Word from capitalizing the first letter of a new paragraph?
(XP, Office/Word 2003) Specifically, this happens on the very first line of a
new document and after hitting the Enter key and starting a new line (which I
understand Word interprets as a paragraph).

Word insists on WordPad file format
After uninstalling a trial version of WordPerfect, I installed MS Office
2003 (Word and Excel). Right after that uninstall, before the Office install,
I found that my (many) text files had been converted to WordPad files. They
remained that way even after Word 2003 was installed. I tried opening one in
Word and using "Save As" to save it as a Word Document. No joy. It remained a

Cannot open saved file after update
I've just loaded and installed the Technical Release update. Now Office can
no longer load any docuuments. I point to the file, click "Open" which
appears to work but I then get a message telling me the file is not
available. To see if this only applied to older documents, I created and
saved a new document but this, too, is unavailable.

document is shifted when different users view it
I create a new document and inside a table, I use the tabs key to align 5
text columns. When other users open the same document, some tabs are missing
or added and the views are skewed or shifted for them.
We are using the same version of Word 2003 w/sp2....

Insertiing files changes original formatting.
I have a master letterhead.doc (from a template) that I insert other text
docs from other design professionals. I can't get the master to take
control of the formatting upon insertion. It worked great with Office 02 but
when I went to 03 The inserted file prevails. I cannot remember template
settings from 02 or process has changed with 03. HELP...

Word 200 to Word 2003
I did all my companies manuals in Word 2000. I have Word 2003 now but when I
open the files the headers and footers are all out of wack. I can't resize
the headers and they are like 10 lines big. There are ne enter marks so I
can't delete the spaces. How can I open a 2000 doc in 2003 without the
glitches?

Create several autotext entries
Hi,
I'm not sure if this should be in the vba-group. Is there a way to add
several autotext entries automatically? Lets say I have written a few
pages and I want to get all all words with more than 6 letters as
autotext enties, without doing it manually with each word.

Disable AutoUpdate on Date Fields
Everytime somebody sends me a document, and if they used the wrong field
(they used the autoupdate date field), is there any way to globally turn off
the auto updates? I know that I can go in for each document, delete the old
date field and click CreateDate, but how can I do this for all documents that
are sent to me without having to go into each document that is sent to me?

How to save auto text to a readable file
Does anyone know how to save your auto text to a readable file? I know you
can print it out to a hard copy by going to print, and in the "print what"
box, choosing auto text entries. But if I select the print to file box, I get
a file that I do not know how to open as a readable file. Is there a program

Use Macros w/ Combo Box to insert a file
I am trying to figure out how select an item in a combo box (ie: "0001") to
insert a file from my desktop named 0001.doc onto my document named new.dot.
I cannot seem to get the right coding. I will also need to have each item in

Format Date and Time to show Military Time
How can I get the time portion of the "DATE AND TIME" to show the 24hr Clock
or military time as it is often referred to.
Instead of showing "09/22/06 2:15pm" I would like to see "09/22/06 14:15"

Unicode problem
I have a number of special characters that can be created from ALT+XXXX.
There are several that use ALT+XXXX numbers above 5000, such as ALT+9660 for
