In Go TO, clicking Page should move the cursor to page-number.
I.e., to the entry box for the page number. I shouldn’t have to move it there
manually.

If a document has lots of bookmarks, as many as possible should appear.
There’s no need for the underlying text to be visible, so a large menu
doesn’t hurt anything.

LISTNUM formatting (sorry, not LINENUM)
I've given up on trying to make the numbering work and decided to try the
LISTNUM field code. However, I can't figure out (or find in Help) a way to
format the numbers. They mimic the font of the style, but I need to color
them and make them bold.

can I integrrate normal.dot into a document?
Hi all,
can anybody help, please?

Search and Replace
I have many tables with hundreds of entries with the following pattern:
1ABC234DE. I need to place spaces between 1 and A, between C and 2, and
between 4 and D, in other words, the entry should be
1[space]ABC[space]234[space]DE. I intend to do a separate run for each of the

Unwanted lines in Word
I have unwanted lines appearing in my Word document. They are not formatted
- checked by using the show/hide formatting button. I don't know how they
got there. When I delete the area above and below the line it disappears but
when I either paste or retype the missing information the line reappears.
This is my Master's thesis and don't want to turn in an unprofessional

2 identical copies of document ,178 kb other 3.68 mb why?
I made copy of a story and saved. When checking the size I noticed that one
is 178 kb and the other says 3.68 mb. Every word is the same in each
document. Why the difference ? I change from wpt text and word processor
and installed office word now....

Index formatting
I've used the Index 'modify' feature, to specify font and font size. However,
when I auto-generate the Index, the font that is in the document is what
appears (e.g. certain phrases are bolded/in another font for emphasis).
Is there a way to force the Index formatting, so that I don't have to
manually go in and change the fonts of the auto-generated index?

When using bullets, the tab key no longer indents the bullet.
Hi,
My tab key no longer indents the bullets in my documents. It moves the
cursor alone and creates a space b/t the bullet and the cursor. I can still
use the indent key to move the bullet inwards. How can I make the tab key
move the bullet again?

cursor disappears
When using Word 2003 there is no word cursor visable unless I hit the insert
key. It is there then until I hit the Enter key. It does not show on the next
line until I start typing. Is there a way to reverse this back to the
original setting where the word cursor is visable all the time without
hitting Insert? I have tried winword /a and it did not correct the problem.

why doesn't my document print the same for all users?
I am sending a newsletter written with Word 2003 to 53 users. A few of them
will have a problem printing. An example is, earlier today, I sent the
document for proofreading and the person printed the file and said that there
was large blank space at the bottom of page 2. There was not. I sent her
screen prints of pages 1-3 so that she could see what I was seeing.
