shared templates
What is the best practice for using templates with word ?
Currently the normal.dot is shared on a network location, from what i have
read this is not the way to go....

Printing Envelope and Letter from 2 different trays
I have been trying to print an envelope and letter that are in one document
to 2 different print trays. The envelopes are in tray 1 and the letters is
in tray 2. I have tried to make the change on Page Setup, but the 2nd page
always prints from the same tray as the envelope....

Merging protected forms
I need to find a program that I can put a legal form on, protect it and then
be able to merge addresses and other certain information onto it. At
present, we have to manually type the information. I would like to be able
to merge it from a database so that the main addresses do not continually
have to be retyped. Is there such a way?...

Formatting with page breaks and heading styles
I've run into this difficulty before, but can't recreate how I solved it. My
TOC is formatted based on Heading 2 styles. However, I'm creating
placeholders [for content not yet in the doc], and I'm inserting page breaks
to start new pages with a new heading. However, when I add the page break,
the page break also appears as a Heading 2, and the Heading 2 that
immediately follows it appea...

The previous page # in GO TO should be highlighted.
That way the user who hits Ctrl-G and enters a new number will automatically
overwrite it. He should not have to manually erase the old entry.

Multiple Font Color buttons possible?
I use Word to create legal documents and I color new and deleted text
differently. Newly-added text is blue & double underlined and deleted text
is red & stricken. I have added the double underline and strike buttons to
my toolbar to save time but would like to have a button for coloring my text
red and another for coloring my text blue. I am able to get two font color

Using "DExter" Indexing software/add-in
Has anyone tried using Dexter indexing template in 2007? I have tried
unsuccessfully to get the Dexter all the tool menus to appear for active use
in 07 with no luck. I'm having another go after re-reviewing the add-in
instructions, etc.
Believe me I was just gettting acquainted with Dexter in 03, but loathe
giving up cool looks and features to go back and work on indexes only in o3 :(

Alt + F9 no longer works
Alt + F9 no longer toggles ALL the fields codes in my document. It is
functioning exactly the same as Shift + F9 and toggling the Table of Contents
code but nothing in the body of the document. I'm using Word 2000, SP3....

Word Comments
I use the balloon comments in grading online. When entering comments into

Self populating document
I am using Word 2003. I want my user to enter company name, contact,
address, etc. on first page of document, and then have that re-populate
through out the document where it's required, as in a contract. I know how to
do this in Excel, but Word I'm a bit rusty. I also want to lock the document
from changes outside of the re-population without having to use digital
rights management....

Importing Excel 200 spreadsheet into Word 2000
I'm trying to import an Excfel spreadsheet into Word. I have tried both copy
and paste special, and importing an object, but each tim it is cutting the
information off on the right of the table. I have tried double clicking on
the table and tried to resize the box but it will not allow me to stretch the
