Simple macro used to work...?
Howdy,
I have a very simple macro that was used to open the save
dialog to a particular folder. It would not assign a file
name. I would then type in the filename, and save.
It worked fine for many months.
Now, I get an error telling me that "This is not a valid
filename."
Here's the code:
Sub CorresSave()
'
' CorresSave Macro
'

Trying to dictate in Word 2002
I am trying my best to use the dictation mode in Word 2002. I have the
language bar up, mic on, and volume turned up properly. As far as I can
tell, everything is functioning.
That is, except it does not type anything when I talk!
I've tried a couple of different programs: Outlook, here in the IE box, and
in Word. I'll shift back and forth to make sure the language bar is

Normal.dot changing the default font settings
I have gone through all of the settings to change the default settings of the
main Normal.dot template and each time the change never takes effect. It
always reverts back to Times New Roman. Why does that happen? I want Word to
always open with Garamond Font.
Also, what could cause the normal.dot's filename to be changed.?
Why is it in the Office11 startup file?
Thank you....

Numbering not working properly
When I want to create a list. For example, I might say.
"The list of documents are as follows:
blablabla
blabla
bla "
Then I press the numbering key, but it starts numbering at "The list of
documents are as follows" instead of my actual list. I do not want this to
happen.
How do I can make it so it only numbers the list....

Format Painter and Style
I use Format Painter to copy and paste format. It seems to do the job except that the style doesn't get changed. But I need the style (e.g. Heading 2) for my TOC. Is it true that Format Painter won't change the style? I guess I can just click on the style instead of using Format Painter.
Appreciate advice.

Left header to repeat image on each page?
Hi there
I want to insert an arrow into the left hand margin of every page of my Word
doc. It needs to be in the same place on every page and I don't want to just
insert the arrow as I will get the spacing off and the document is LONG. It's
a speech and it's to remind the reader to turn over each page, believe it or
not. I was thinking I could install a sort of header / footer on the left...

Can you password protect Word doc but allow formatting changes?
I have a series of letters I've created that are set up as password-protected
forms so users can only insert specific pieces of information.
The problem is that users will be printing these letters on different

have letter correctly print on the letterhead.
Is there a way to allow this? They fill out form, ...
