Iinserting Outlook address into Word
Is it possible to insert an address from outlook into a word document and
then later on in the letter use the information from the input to display
the 'Company Name' or 'City'?
I've found some good sites describing how to insert the address in the form
I want, but can't figure out how to re-use the info later on in the document
without having to pick the address again...

Remove hidden data add-on
I installed the free MS remove hidden data on 50+ workstations. On two of
them, it doesn't show up in the (file) menu. I've uninstalled and
reinstalled it, but it still doesn't show up. The two computers it doesn't
work on are identical to other computers on which is does work.
Has anyone ever encountered this before? Anyone know of a resolution?...

Locking toolbar position
This question must have been asked before, but I can't seem to track the
answer: Is there a simple way to lock the position of custom toolbars?
Because mine seem to be in a different position every time I open Word
(2003), making a serious mess of my toolbar-section ...
Any help would be appreciated

Recently Used Files list
I tend to use quite long file names, especially when I have many similar
file names. When these are listed in the File menu drop-down, I cannot see
the right hand end for the file name. And this makes it impossible to know
which file is which, because of the truncation - and a poor memory.
Is there some way to increase the width of the Files dropdown? A change in a
registry value perhaps?

Word opens without menubar
Hi I've been using Word in Office2000 for years. Suddenly it has started
opening with just the document and no menubar or toolbars whatsoever at the
top. I can still type and do some things by right-clicking and keyboard
commands, and Office Assistant is there, but there is much I can't now do.
Is there anything I can do short of removing and reinstalling Office? Thanks

Can these two aspects of Word be customized?
Hi, everyone. We're using a variety of versions of Word, but mostly,
it's Word XP on Windows XP.
Two questions:
1. We'd like to customize Word's available clipart for our users so that
when they select Insert > Picture > Clipart, they will either see or be
able to navigate to our organization-specific clipart files.
I see that a user can use "Organize clips..." to point to art...

my macro button keeps disappearing from my toolbar !
I am using Word 2002sp3 on XPpro. I have several templates which have a
special print macro (the same one is in each template). The template has a

macro allows page 1 to be printed twice and page 2 to be printed 3 times. I
have customised the tool-bar so that the macro appears as a button in the

Hi.
All of a sudden, Word 2003 won't remember any of the things I type in
the "File name:" box in the Open File.. dialog. I know that the values
are stored in this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Open
Find\Microsoft Office Word\Settings\Open\File Name MRU
It right now has these values:

Lost menu items
Using Word 2003 on XP Home. I noticed that Word was set to use US English
and wanted to change that to UK English, which I did via Microsoft Office
2003 Language Settings.
Then I find that almost all my customisation settings have disappeared,
along with several menu items I set up with their own icons, including the
"Work" menu.
Tried changing back to US English but the settings are gone.

Word 2002 font dropdown list

Is it possible to clear / reset the *Font dropdown list of fonts used* ?
The list I'm referring to is located on the toolbutton area when one replies
to an e-mail. It is not arranged alphabetically; but is arranged in such a
way that whichever font was last used is placed at the top of that list. The
previous last used gets shuffled to the botto...

gray toolbar buttons ...
Hi all.
I have a project with custom toolbar (in global template) that needs to run
on Office 97 through 2003. So all templates have been created in Office 97.
On many (all?) Office 2000 machines all but one button are dark grey. The
one button staying normal is the one most frequently used. The buttons
maintain normal functionality and what has been clicked returns to its
normal face....

Insertion point
After I had to re-install Word 2002 (because of a hard drive crash), I can't
figure out how to change the insertion point with the shadows (at right,
left, or below) to a plain insertion point without any shadows, the way I
had it before. In the Normal view the insertion point is plain, but in
Print Layout view it has the shadows.
Thanks for any pointers (pun intended).

Q: Toolbar persistence for Word documents shown in IE?
When our users open MS Word documents via URLs in IE, only Reviewing
toolbar is shown. By right-clicking they can bring up the selection
menu and also select the Standard toolbar to be visible.
Unfortunately, this change goes away when they close the browser.
Is there a way to persist the toolbar selection change?
TIA!...
