Am I using the right menu option
Every time I open a new document in Word is defaults to the language
being either Welsh or English(US). I want it to be English(UK).
I have gone into tools - language - set language then selected
English(UK) and clicked on Default and Ok it. But when I go back into
word it's back to Welsh or English(US).
Am I missing something?...

custom menu
I am making a addin for work in vb.
i have a menu button that works and the on action works
but if I make a popup button with sub buttons in it nothing will work . not
even the mouse over of the menu or sub menus.
Does anyone have a sample in vb to add a menu and sub menus that actually
work?
This should be simple but i have been 4 days on it

Unwanted Toolbars Open
This is a repost...didn't get any responses...
When I open certain documents in Word, two toolbox open: "Control Toolbox"
and "Exit Design Mode." Then when I attempt to close the document, without
having made any changes, I'm prompted to "Save Changes." What's up with
this? Is there a way to tell Word not to load these toolboxes and not to
ask me to save document when I've made no change...

Print Layout
UsingWindows XP Pro with Office 2003. When using Word I always use it in the
Print Layout view. Today I can not even find Print Layout on the menu.
Outline
Normal
Web
Reading
but no Print Layout.
I varified that the program was not corrupt or missing files. What is going
on?...

I am trying to locate the registry entries for "Embed linguistic data" and
"Ebmed smart tags" on the SAVE option of the MS Office Word 2003. I am trying
to package Word with some of these features disabled.

Custom Toolbars via VBA
Word 2003.
Hi. I've written some code that searches for templates within a specified
folder, and then creates a msoControlPopup toolbar under the file menu,
listing the files that have been found. The intention is that the user can
then scroll down this list, and run a template from clicking on the toolbar.

Need help with adding custom button to popup menu

Hi, Microsoft Word groupies!
I am hardly a newbie to MSW, but I am very perplexed by a quirk in my
MSW2000 wherein I add a bunch of buttons (commands) to the toolbar,
which I keep docked on the side of the window, and then I save the file
as Normal.dot in my own system backup items folder (and the quit).
I checked out the FAQ, and I had little results from Googling -- I

Sort order in the File Open dialogue box
How can I make Word 2003 (and Excel 2003 too) to remember the sort order in
the File Open dialogue box?
Since a month ago or so, the File/Open dialog box keeps displaying files
sorted by date. I can sort them alphabetically then, but when I open Word
again, say the next day, the files are sorted back by date.
Word is just not "remembering" my preferences.

Deleting Macros
With some difficulty I set up 2 macros - one went wrong so I wanted to get
rid of it and start again. Cannot seem to get back to the modifying window in
order to do that. Microsoft representative said to delete the Normal dot -
which I did although it wasn't in the place they said to find it! This did of
course discontinue use of the macros that were working but NOT from the
toolbar!

Printing Watermarks
When I type in the text 'COPY' only some of the letters appear on the page,
regardless of the size of the font or the font itself. ie: it will print
'cpy' or 'o'. The actual word 'copy' appears correctly in the print preview.
Can anyone help please?

How do I turn Style Gallery totally OFF?

COM Add-in called MS Word East European Fonts Tool
In another thread Cindy taught me how to check COM Add-ins by adding the COM
Add-in item to the Tools menu. After doing this and checking Tools | COM
Add-ins... I discovered there is a COM Add-in installed in Word 2003 called

Toolbars & Macros
I have written a basic macro that shows the mailmerge toolbar. I have saved
it into the document that I wish to use it in, (not the global template).
I have created Macros in Access using the AutoExec name to allow them to run
on startup.
How can make my macro run on the startup of my particular document?

Doc-To-Help toolbar is not visible in word
I recently installed a trial version of Doc-to-Help. According to the
documentation, Doc-to-Help adds a new toolbar in word, which would let me
handle conditional text, crossreferences, etc. However, no such toolbar
appears in Word.
I use Word 2003 SP2. I also have Acrobat installed.
