Bugs in Word 2007 Equation Editor
These are all in Word 2007 Beta 2
Here are some bugs and annoyances I've encountered with the equation editor
while typing up a couple of small math assignments.
1) (Bug) Write a sentence in "normal" style that includes an inline equation

Opening documents in B2TR
I cannot even open any documents that were previously saved in Beta 2 or
2003. Any file that I try to open, it displays an error message saying, "The
file XXX is not available."...

Removal of unnecessary spaces above endnotes
In my endnotes and/or footnotes Word has inserted several spaces above the
notes on each page, taking up about 6 to 10 lines per page. In print layout
view they appear as grey pagagraph marks. How do I eliminate these?
I am working with Word in Microsoft Office 2003....

Outside the printable area
Have a document with extensive graphics that triggers three complaints
about sections with "margins...outside the printable area of the page".
I know about Edit-Goto-Section and File-PageSetup-OK-Fix, but that
results in a shift of some of the graphics. I once got Word to complain
just once about each section, then with subsequent copies in the same
print job it didn't complain, but can't rec...

Why does Office XP Word and Powerpoint crash when I open a doc
I have just reloaded my System with Windows XP Pro and SP2 ... I then
reloaded my Micorsoft Office XP Professional Subscription version 2002,
followed the activation procedure, and downloaded all the updates and service
packs and everytime I open a Word document or a Powerpoint document, it
returns a splash that states "I'm sorry Microsoft office has encountered an
error and must close" ...

Word 2003 SP2 "soft page break"
Word 2003 SP2 has all of a sudden stopped inserting an automatic "soft page
break" in print preview view. I can see the "next" page by inserting a
manual page break, but this is unsatisfactory. This is also affecting the
printing of the whole document. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions?...

Word 2003 maximize screen too low
When I hit the maximize button in Word 2003 it does not cover the top of the
desktop. It leaves an inch or so at the top and the status bar does not show.
If I restore I can see it all and I can move it to the top of my screen, but
when I maximize, the program drops down the inch or so. I tried a suggested
solution of not using Word as my Outlook editor, but that did not work. I saw

I can receive e-mails but not send.
Using Outlook with Word the message I keep getting is 'interface not
registered'. It has been fine up until now. E-mail I sent was received but

Word will not open for a single user.
Word will not open for just 1 user. It will if other users log in. It is a
Windows 2000 machine using Office 2000. When the problem user is logged in,
word will not open. Nothing happens but a brief hourglass. When another
user logs in, word opens normally and functions normally.
I've gone through this several times before with multiple users at work.

How do I reset the date provided by the Date and Time window to the current

I cannot save or edit msword document.
When I open the msword file that is attached to an email, I am unable to save
it. When I click on "file" and drop down to look for "save" it is not an
option. I cannot edit the document at all either. I have the 60 day trial

TOC doesn't work. it shows the field code, but doesn't update..
I have this document from hell that i didn't design. i have page breaks and
my styles are set up to differentiate the headings for the Table of Contents.
Well when i close my document, (my TOC is in place as i have already
formatted). Upon reopening - my Table of Contents has disappeared along
with my headers and footers. I have replaced the TOC, hdrs and ftrs so often

Lost document in bizarre circumstances
I wrote a long and very private document (about my health if you must know),
and to prevent the kids reading it I altered the font to Marlett before
saving it. I reopened the document, selected the entire document and changed
the font back to Times. Result - squares! Row after row. I assume a square
represents an unprintable character
I've tried resaving as a plain text doc then opening...

Unable to retrieve any docs in Normal.dot
Wanted to make changes to Normal.dot template but couldn't find it!
Exasperated, I used the MS Word Repair tool located in the HELP file. Word
was duly repaired successfully - it said - and now every Word doc comes up as

Word 2003 closes prematurely when I click on one of two open docum
This happens when other windows are open and I try to go back to an open but
minimized Word document. The minimized filename(s) dissappears and when I
reopen Word, the documents appeared as recovered.
I ran the Detect and Repair without the CD (I do not have the CD with me)
but it made no difference.

error SBOLExt.dll
I get an SBOLExt.dll error message every time I open Outlook. Any ideas how
to fix? I also cannot get to the normal.dot file to change so my Word will

when text is highlighted and backspace button is pressed nothing .
When i highlight text in a word document and press the 'backspace' button or
type some more text the original text is not deleted. If i press the 'delete'
button the text is deleted though. Can someone please tell me how to fix this
problem. I don't have this problem in notepad or explorer! Thanks...
