Word 2003: TOC Page Numbers mixed up on Print Preview
I use Word 2003 SP2
When I open a document and do Print Preview, all the page numbers in the TOC
are the same "1", "2" or “x†number.
If I close the Print Preview and then do Update Field, the numbers appear
correctly. The numbers print correctly if I print the document.
I have tried everything suggested in several Word forums and in the KB

Need help with setup for MS Word
After installing and uninstalling Norton Anti-virus, I recieve a message,
"Word has not been installed for the currernt user. Please, run setup to
install the application." Where do I find the setup for this application.

word 2003 doesn't save new docs
Hi,
I'm using office pro 2003 and Word suddenly stopped saving any new docs. I
got a new Cd and re-installed it but it still doesnt save although other MS
Office applications are fine. The old docs I had are still saving changes but
the save as doesnt work in them either!

MSWord continues to crash after about 10 minutes of use. Help!
Can't find out why MSWord crashes after about 10 minutes of use. I can never
complete a manuscript. Very frustrating. Have checked every possible
setting. Could it have anything to do with ATI software? Any solution?

Why did the Remove Hidden Data start showing launch error
,Installed rhdtool.exe several months ago - worked great till yesterday - "An
error occurred while trying to launch the hidden data removal tool. Try
reinstalling" appears when MS Word is started. Tookit out put it back,
deleted it and downloaded a new copy. Any ideas? It is great for the resumes
I have needed to send over the last year....

How many inches in a "pt"?
I am trying to set the row height for tables. It is easy to set the column
width, because that is in inches. But row height? Whose idea was it to create
that in pts? You can only guess what that is supposed to be....

problem opening word 2003 docs from explorer
When double clicking a word document from windows explorer I get the
following message
"the command cannot be performed because a dialog box is open"
If I click ok the document opens as normal.
If I open Word first and click file open and select the doc it open fine
Any idea how I can prevent the error message from explorer

When attemping to load Word or any other office product I get the error
message; "microsoft word has not been installed for the current user please

Delete, End and Home keys don't work in Word 2003.
Has anyone ever encountered a situation where the delete, end and home keys
stop working in Word 2003 (or any other version)? I'm running XP SP2. The
keys function correctly in other programs. I've uninstalled and reinstalled
Word, but this does not fix the problem....

Text stacked at left margin
We are using Word 2003
When using third-party software to convert a .doc file into a .tiff file, as
soon as the .tiff printer is selected all the text is stacked at the left
margin. We did not have this problem when we were using Word 2000.
According to web searches this happens with other third-party software, not
just the one we are using. Tech support from the third-party software...

Word Won't Close
When I close the application, I am just left with the blue "Microsoft Word"
box (the toolbars , document etc all close). Clicking on the "X" in the top
right corner won't close this. The only way I can close it is by using
Windows Task Manager.

Word Art not displaying in Word 2007 Beta
Can anyone explain why I can't get the Word Art to display and I create it in

word is acting weird when I italicize never had this before! help

Wod 2007 Beta 2 - Print problem in normal mode, draft Ok.
Hello all. Was unsure where to report problems with Beta 2, so trying here.
Would appreciate help 'solving' it, though its no big deal for me and I am

I can't get Word 2007 Beta to agree with my printer setup
Every time I try to print a document I get and error message indicating that
my margins are outside the printible area. I checked and they weren't. When
I click continue it takes me to the page preview. What I see is only half a
page vertically. I tried various settings with the same results. Anyone run
into this.
I would be nice if I could print something.

Sub or Function not defined errorwhen opening and closing MS Word
Everytime I open word I get the error "Sub or function not defined" I get rid
of the error and everything behaves normally. When I close i get the same
error.
I had the error in Office 97 and tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well
as repairing. I have since upgraded to Office 2003 but this has not changed

Hyperlinks Only Work When Forms are Unprotected
In a Word 2003 document with Form Fields and Hyperlinks, I am seeing this
behavior:
Case 1: When hovering over a hyperlink a bubble pops up saying to hold down
the 'Cntrl' key and click the link. If the form is not protected the 'I'
cursor turns into a 'hand' cursor when I hold down the Cntrl key, and when I

Having a problem with Word being sluggish
Good afternoon,
I've got an issue with an install of Office 2003, and specifically Word
2003. What's going on is, the user is trying to both and and save data to a
USB jump drive, however when he accesses the menu (so File -> Open or File ->
Save as) the application will freeze up for a brief period before finally

Word 2003 and windows liveone care compatibility
Whenever I install windows liveone care in my system. I am unable to save my
word documents. I get an error that says, "File cannot be save due to file
permission error".
However if i uninstall windows liveone care from the system, I am able to
work with word fine....
