Compile error
Hi all,every time I start MS Word (2003), I get an error box titled
"Microsoft Visual Basic", and it says "Compile error in hidden module:
WinFaxPrintAndMerge"
I have looked at countless VB help articles, but found nothing that helped,
not even close unless I'm really lost on this, probably true, please help....

Two finger scrolling on the MacBook pro doesn't work well in Word
I am using the latest version of Word 2004 for Mac OS 10.4.6 on a MacBook
Pro. The MacBook Pro allows one to scroll up and down pages in any
application by dragging two fingers instead of one. This feature works
beautifully in every application I have tried except Microsoft Word. In
Word, it lets you scroll up the page just fine, but when you try to scroll

can not add new record to a table.
Trying to add a record to a table. The key is autonumber, yet I'm receiving
the 3022 run-time error message, complaining about the duplicate value in
index, or key, or relationship. How is this possible and how can I fix this?

I was almost done creating word document. I receive runtime errormessage.it
says: microsoft visual C+++ runtime library. abnormal program
Program C:\Program files\microsoft office\office 10\winword.exe
word recovers document yet I am unable to save it. the error message keeps

Custom dictionary is full
I am pretty proficient at creating and using custom dictionaries, but now I
am getting an error message that says my custom dictionary is full . . . with
a dictionary that only has 99 words in it. I've created custom dictionaries
before with hundreds of words. I have deleted all custom dictionaries not in
use. (1) What is going on? (2) Can I expand the size of the custom
dictionaries?...

Normal template error
When I use microsoft word (2002 SP3 version) I often get the message "changes
have been made that affect the global template, Norrmal. Do you want to save
changes?". It comes up when I try to close word down.
It is annoying and sometimes seems to be associated with a general computer
slowdown. Below is some information regarding my computer and OS just in case

FAX WIZARD
In fax wizard Office 2003, when I use address book the error message reads "
The wizard could not insert name from the address book. Address Book failure:
"unspecified failure". Check your mail set up. You must have extended MAPI
version 1.0 or higher to use this feature." I recently upgraded Office to
2003, my previous version worked this feature fine....

How do I report a Word 2003 Bug?
Using Word 2003
There are a couple of bugs I draw Microsoft's attention to however I have
found no way to report them.
1. When you select a group of files to open, print or insert into a
document the last file always opens, prints or inserts first and then the
rest of the files do whatever they are supposed to do in order. This did not

Word - Office 2003
I've had XP home version for couple of years now, and from January I've also
had Office 2003. XP is great and until recently Word 2003 been great, but now
the whole programme seems to have a mind of its own.
1. I'm unable to use page set up: whatever I do the margins etc remain as
before. I prefer 2cm margins, yet on the right I've 3 inch margins and
nothing I can do to alter it.

errors with cross references and captions
Hi, I keep encountering an error with cross references and captions. This
always seems to occur in a normal paragraph of text which contains a cross
reference to a table number. When the document saves, the paragraph splits
at the cross reference, with the cross reference becoming a new paragraph and
the rest of the text becoming a caption. Have I set up the cross reference
properly? ...

turn off translation on PDF files?
I am copying from a PDF file and when I paste it comes out in jibberish. A
translation pane came up and said I was trying to go from English to French.

Weird Message
I bought a new laptop and it didn't have Microsoft Office (word, powerpoint,
excel, etc.) installed. I wanted these programs so I took an old Office 97
CD I had and installed these programs onto my laptop. Everything works OK
except every time I open up one of my Word documents a box with this message
pops up - C:\...\filename...is being used by (my name). Do you want to make

Word 2003 won't open Documents in Folders
I have newly installed Word 2003 on brand new computers - no previous
versions of Office were running. They are running XPPro.
When I try to open a document by double clicking on it in a folder Word
opens but there is no document open - just the background screen.
There are no error messages.
I can open the same document by going to file-->open or by clicking on the

Enable Macros
I have a document from Microsoft and when I open it, I get the following
message:
"The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the on line help
or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable the
macros"
The fields are showing like this <<busgov>> and I don't want them to show.
I have tried everything... any ideas?

Closing Word 2003 issue
We get an intemittent problems with users - if they have multiple Word docs
open - and they close one - then all the Word docs close

Save disappeared from menu
This issue is with Word 2003 (11.8026.8036) SP2, part of Office Basic Edition
2003, running on Windows XP Professional SP2 Build 2600.
While editing a document I've created a habit of hitting Alt+f,s to save the

Word 2003 Crash when typing in russian but not when typing in english
I am using Microsoft Office 2003 (all the updates from Office Updates).
WHen i am typing in russian, WOrd Crash after few words. the problem
does not exist when typung in englush.
I did the following but the problem was not solved:
1. i deleted all *.dic files.
2. I deleted all *.acl files.
3. I copied Normal.dot from another working machine to the bad one.

How do I center a document horizontally on the page in Word?
I see no option to do this in Word as you can in Excel. If the left and
right margin on a Word document are the same, when the document is printed,
the margin on the left is smaller than the margin on the right....

Word's Comments feature should use the Word 97 interface.
Word 2002's and 2003's Comments pane uses an unstable interface that causes
the comments to vanish, the zoom size to change for no apparent reason, the
comments to jump around to all parts of the Reviewing pane, and the "This

When I type in Word I can't go futher its locked
My spelling doesn't work also.
Some times I can typ one word and then its locked en word

Inserting Bibliography makes Word 2007 freeze
I am working on my Master's Level Dissertation Thesis and using the new
Microsoft Office 2007 Beta on Windows XP SP3 and ahigh-end laptop. I take
sequential back-ups and its been fine except have been having a problem with
the Bibliography.

AddTextEffect, Arial, Wordart problem
Hello.
I have an rtf file containing several sections. I am using Word (via COM,
in C++) to add a watermark to all pages.
My problem is that I get different results, depending on the font names I
use. For instance, I call AddTextEffect with "Times New Roman" and it works
fine. I am trying with "Arial" and I get watermark only on the second
section, the first and last page do not...
