why word keeps shutting down with message runtime error
problem today of using word 2003 and half way through writing document it
comes up with a message saying runtime error and then closes the whole thing
down thus losing all of work all ready type in...........please help...

Protection in 2003 - Problem Saving the Protection Mode
Hi,
I've gone through several posting in regards to "Protection in 2003"
but could not yet find the solution to my problem.
I have Office 2003 SP-2 and I've created a form document and want to
protect it allowing the user to fill the form fields only. I did that
without any problems. Of course, I have to exit Design Mode in order to
protect it.

Autoformat is screwing up my outlines!
I have been formatting outlines for the past year, and now, for some reason
when I make one formatting change to an outline, the whole style becomes
corrupted. I have "automatically update" checked OFF in my styles. The
formatting also gets screwed up in the header and footer, and the outline

Winword 2003 and Graphics Resizing Issue
When I add a graphic inside word, I cannot resize it using
the pull points, yet I can resize it using by double
clicking and entering new dimensions in the edit boxes.
Latest 2003 service packs. Only happening on 1 of the 3
computers installed this week that match each other
identically in other ways.
Anyone got any ideas?

pageref woes
I am using word 2000 with sp 3. In my document I have to create a weird
TOC: the "chapter names" entries are to be in blue but leader dots and
page numbers in black. The only way I figured out how to do that is to
bookmark the chaptes and construct each "TOC entry" as hyperlink to

Problem opening Word 2K pro
Whenever I open Word, instead of immediately opening a window appears
indicating that windows is attempting to either install or configure some
feature of the program, but after a bit, another window appears saying the
files needed are contained on the installation CD and therefore, I should

SpellCheck-Shouldn't report vs as error when followed by a period
In Spellcheck if you have "vs" (for Verses), spell check will report it as
an error and suggest replacing with "vs."
Then if you run spell check again later on the same doc, it will again point
out "vs" and suggest "vs." even though the sentence already has "vs."
That would (if suggested change was approved) become "vs.."
And Spell Check would still pick it up again the next time wa...

Using scroll bar causes Word to freeze
I have a 74 page document that works well most of the time. However,
recently the program has developed an annoying problem. Often times when I
am down deep in the document, I use the right scroll bar to move higher in

Word opens off display screen;document can't be seen.
When I click on Word 2003, it opens off the display screen. I know that it
opens because I see the indication on the task bar.
I have tried a re-install and changing the display resolution.
Obviously I can't get into Word to check those settings.

When I open Word, it opens very slowly (about 2 to 3 minutes).
I have a copy of Office Standard Edition 2003 (with December 2004
Applications Student Media). I have a problem with Word opening very slowly.

Problems with Default Mail Program
I'm trying this again in hopes that a MVP will take a look at it.
When I am in my new Word 2003, and I want to email the document I've been
working on, I go to File>Send To and the only option available is 'Mail
Recipient (For Review)' and that's greyed out.
How can I un-grey it and have other mail options available, like just "Mail

saving to flash drive problems
I opened a Word file on my USB flash drive, made changes, went to save it and
received a message Word cannot save file due to file permission error. I've

Paragraph indentation
Hi all,
I setup the paragraphs in my document as left justified, double spaced, with
half inch indentation. I have a problem that word add half inch indentation
at the beginning of the second page and that happens in all cases. I mean
even when it's the beginning of a new paragraph, word adds another half inch
indentation.
