Temp files crashes word, blocks users from accessing documents.
Hi,
I work as a support technican and lately we have been having som real wierd
issues with temp files crashing Word or blocking other users from accessing
the documents. I dont even know where to start with this. Word can be very
confusing when you have to down into its technical issues.

Hour glass appearing every 7-8 seconds
When in Word 2003, cursor is changing to an hour glass every 7-8 seconds or
so. This is happening even when I am not typing. I also notice while in
Outlook 2003 the screen seems to refresh every 7-8 seconds or so. Thank you.

Pasted text uses built-in styles
I copied text from a web-page and pasted it into Word 2000. Instead of using
the same text formats as those used in the web page, Word used its bulit-in
styles. The fonts were not the same fonts used on the web page, and some
paragraphs were numbered (e.g., 4.1.1) where no numbering appeared in the web
document.
I should add that yesterday I copied all styles from a co-worker's docume...

Open 500 KB file
I have multiple large Word files (.doc) and they all can open on other
computers, but my computer seems incapable of accessing these files. The
files are of sizes 532 KB
and 853 KB. Every time I try to open these the word processor crashes out
with out an error message (aside from the tiny bit gleaned from the error
report) and I have tried multiple word processors with the same result....

I cannot install organizational chart feature

How can I open a new blank document?
When I open word (2003) a new document doesn't come up. instead a call log I
had made previously automatically comes up. Also, if I click new doc., on
file menu or short cut the same document comes up. I have tried to delete the
original file & nothing is working. Please Help!!!...

Word in Office 2004 for mac: font size changes when text copied/pa
Whenever I copy part of a Word document by selecting text and pasting it into
a new Word document, the font size in the last page or so of text changes,
generally getting larger. Sometimes it changes at additional, apparently
random places in the text, usually (possibly always) in whole paragraphs. Any
solutions?

Word changes entire document formatting
In Word XP every time I try to apply a style i.e. Bold to a single word, the
entire document changes to bold. If I am trying to select a series of lines
and change them to a numbered list, the entire document becomes a numbered
list. This has only been occurring since the last automatic update for
office XP....

cannot open word 2007 document in word 2003
i was using the office 2007 version and created a document - however i did
not like the layout of 2007 and reverted back to using 2003
when i try and open this document that i created in 2007 it says it cannot
do so without using a conversion tool for 2003 which i have downloaded and
installed
however even with this done i get " there was an error opening file " error.

Missing icons and Install info...
In the attempt to repair Microsoft Office 2000 Premium due to Icons missing
within Windows XP Professional. I am recieving the following Error... "This
package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that

Paper Size in Print Layout is NOT Whats defined in Page Setup
When I open Word my Paper in Print Layout is very square looking and not the
normal 8.5x11 Even though that it is defined in Page Setup.
I have tried deleting my normal.dot to no avail... any ideas?...

Need Help...Cant Open ADocuments
I cant open any Microsoft Word Doc. as attachments..when I do try I get a
message saying Abode Reader cant open file....file not supported or
damaged....not correctly decoded when sent as an email attachment. What

MS Word 2002 is giving me a pop up
I copied an article off of a website, opened MS Word, and clicked on an
empty page>clk right side of mouse>clk "paste" and got this pop up:
There is insuffiecient memory of disk space. Close extra windows and
save your work."
Never saw this before today, and now have no idea what to do to be able

Page sizes
My Word opens up as 100% page size, but if I place a page of printing paper
on the screen I have to reduce the size of word to 79%. I reckon this could
be sorted by clicking a few tools button options, but as you may of have
gathered I am Thick. Any Help would be most welcome.

Performance
Using XP200 Pro running MS Word 2003. The "Text Width" setting on the path
= |View > Zoom > set percent | is not retained upon a Save and Close.
Exiting from the "Full Screen" mode closes all active MS Word windows
available with Alt-Tab.

Everytime i open word it crashes without me doing anything!
When i open word it crashes and says word has encountered a problem and needs
to close. Then it says do you want to send an error report? I have done this
a million times and still no luck! I am running office XP and windows XP. I
have done all the things on this website that are mentioned and nothing has
helped! There is no prob with my normal.dot file and i have reinstalled it
and done...

word 97
I lost my word 97 program when I had to reformat my hard drive and I don't
have a backup copy. It thought all I had to do was drag the icon into a
backup file and save that to a disk but instead when I try to start it back
up it won't start. It just gives me a message. I need to find a download of

troubles with opening files in word
Greetings I have a problem when trying to open any word file. Here is the
