Email compatibility between XP and Windows 2000
When colleagues (running Windows 2000) attempt to open emails I've saved
(running Windows XP) in a shared drive they get the 'unable to open specified
file' message.
However, I am able to open emails that they have saved to the same folder.
Is there an incompatibility problem between emails saved on XP machines and
Windows 2000 machines.
Also, when hyperlinking the path to this sh...

Can I put outgoing emails directly into a 'filing' folder
Is there a way I can set up my Outlook email so that I can file outgoing
mails directly into their ultimate 'filing' folder rather than have to move
them individually from the Sent folder?...

Outlook 07 - Synch prob with Exchange
Ever since upgrading to the Technical refresh I'm now getting hundreds of
these synch messages.
I've tried starting outlook with the /clearfreebusy switch (or something
similar) but it hasn't worked.
This is the error I'm getting:

Long subject result error
I have an error situation when received an email with very long subject.
Because I used to drag some important email to the desktop (or some other
location) for storing purposes. But I cannot do the same to emails with very
long subject. There is no error message. But I can drag the email when I
shorten the subject.
This is important because I need to drag email to another application ...

How do I stop outlook opening twice on start-up?
When starting Outlook, multiple windows open and intermittently do this

how do retrieve deleted emails messages Outlook 2003
All of my emails have disappeared from Outlook 2003. Using Detect and Repair
resulted in a fresh installation of Outlook 2003, completing the loss of all
my contacts and emails. I did not do anything to inititate this action. Is
there anything I can do to retrieve my emails?...

why doesn't hotmail work in outlook anymore
I have had free hotmail as one of my email accounts in outlook 2002 for years
and after I downloaded IE 7 it no longer works. When I "Send/Receive" I am
prompted to enter my user name and password and even after doing so I am
unable to gain access to my account via Outlook 2002....

Now emails print ALL pages in memo or table style. Help!

Default Browsers and Outlook 2007 Beta
I know this has been asked several times already but I've yet to see anybody
actually answer it...
I have IE, Netscape and Firefox installed on my PC. Firefox is set to the

Outlook 2007 Beta 2
I just installed Outlook 2007 Beta 2, it is crashing on me almost every other
time I open my email. I don't know if this is right place to bring this up.
My Office diagnostics tool said there is newer versio of beta, I am not able
to find it. Can anyone direct me to the right place to get a newer version if
in fact it exists?

Hyperlink in signature doesn't work in creating a reply
When I am creating a reply for some e-mails my signature becomes
double-spaced text and the hyperlink disappears. I can't find a pattern as
to why this is happening. My signature was created in HTM (Word)L, is one
font and part of it is hyperlinked.

Why "extra line breaks in this message were removed"?
This message appeared above the "To:" in a gray shaded box.
When this happens the body of the message is gone. Why?
When I click the gray box "restore line breaks" appear.
I click that and the gray box now says "this message has extra line breaks"
and still now message in the body.
How do I turn this extra line break thing off? And will I then get the
message?...

How do i set up multiple emails
Hi,
I've set up my Outlook account with three different email addresses and
created rules to sort the emails into the correct folders. If i've had
Outlook running and recieve an email it will be sorted correctly, however, if
i'm just starting up outlook, even if its all ready been open and then
closed, the new emails are not sorted at all. Does anybody know why this may

Survey Form
Hi all,
a couple of years ago I found a sample Survey Form in the the Outlook
Developer section.
This form allowed you to set-up questions with an aswer response, a yes/no
dropdown response, a rating 1-10 and a user dropdown section with a multiple
choice reponse.
Does anyone have a copy of it or know exactly where to get it (download it)
on the site.

How do I save e-mail folders to a disc?
I save e-mail messages on my laptop to an Outlook folder. I do the same with
my desktop. I want to transfer the messages in these folders one to the
other. I purchased Outlook because I understood I could save these folders to
a CD with the full program but not with Outlook Express.
Help would be appreciated....

signature error message when forwarding or replying in OL 2003
I used to use a signature when I composed, replied or forwarded a message. I
have gone into tools/options/mail format and chosen "none" in Signature for
new messages and "none" for Signatures for replies and forwards and now when
I reply or forward a message, I get a Microsoft Office Outlook error message,
"The signature (none) could not be located. This signature may have been

Filter for all messages associated with a flagged message
Hello, I use the "conversation" view in Outlook. I also used flags.
Is there a way for me to create a filter in outlook that shows multiple
messages (conversations) in which one of the messages is flagged? In other
words, I want to see all messages associated with any flagged message but I
don't want to see any conversations that contain no flagged messages.

Empty junk e-mail folder with GPO
Is is possible to empty users' junk e-mail folders periodically with group
policy? I know you can force junk mail to be deleted and not go in the junk
folder but I would like to give my users a chance to look at it before
deleting.

Deleted signature re-appears when replying to meeting responses
I regularly receive meeting request responses that accept, reject, or propose
