Outlook 2007 Beta 2 - address gone
I recently upgraded from Outlook 2003 to 2007, Beta 2, and I just
noticed that most of my contacts' address are now missing. If I had
the Home Address marked as the Mailing Address, then it's been deleted.
Any suggestions for restoring this data or fixing this issue?

Outlook Categories
Outlook 2003:
Is there a way to alphabetize contacts when I'm in the contact category
view. They seem to be listed in the order they were added. Surely there's
a way, or perhaps a work-around for this. It's most annoying when there are
several entries. They were in folders, but folders don't display when I go
to the contact listing, so I categorized them instead. I'm wondering if

No address books available for setting up distributions
When I try to create a distribution list (or actually every time I compose an
e-mail address), I have to manually type in names. No contact lists or
address books are available, even though I have a pretty full Contact List in
Outlook 2003. How can I connect that Contact list to make it available to
select names and addresses from to populate either e-mails or distribution
lists?

default layout for emails
Outlook 2003
I'm trying to create a layout for a business email. I want the logo at the
top that shows up at the top of my emails, then I want a background ... then
I want the footer to show up at the bottom of the email. I know how to
create word templates, but doing it for an email is eluding me.
Can someone help with this.

Encrypt contact notes
Using Outlook 2003, is it possible to encrypt the notes field in a contact?
I know that I can set a password using Data File Management but is there a
way to leave the password blank and just encrypt the notes field?
Also, on the Data File Management - Change Password sheet, what is the
advantage of checking save this password in your password list? I am not
certain what other passwords...

Exporting User defined Contact Field
I created a user defined field under the Customize current field - fields -
new field in Outlook Contacts. The new field is a Yes / No type. When I try
to export the contacts to either MS Excel or MS Access that field is not
available for export. Is there anyway to export ALL Contact fields --
including user created fields. I also tried to change the existing USER
FIELD 1 field to a ...

Lost all contacts and old email
This morning, my computer looked like it did when I first brought it home. A
blue background with the Windows 2000 startup message on it.
I had lost all the desktop shortcuts, settings, explorer favorites, etc.,
but I found those in another <username> folder and was able to restore them.
However, Outlook is another story. After having to reconfigure Outlook with

I just imported contacts and LOST all my EMAIL ADDRESSES
Help! I just imported all my contacts with email addresses, on import I
chose to have duplicates overwrite existing contacts to reflect changes and
additions I made and ALL my email addresses are now BLANK.

Print Envelopes Mail merge
It seems like a very normal process to take your Outlook contacts (select
ones) to create envelopes for mailers.
I have searched the program help sources and followed the provided
instructions but can not create a final product.

Email address book back up and import
I have Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. I'm trying to back up my 317 email
address so i don't loose them when I go to my new computer. I know in
outlook you can EXPORT, and IMPORT them and all content. I'm trying to do it
with Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and having a hard tiem can anyone help me?

Importing Contacts from excel, they don't appear in Address Book
I have been trying to import contacts from an excel spreadsheet and they are
not appearing in contacts after going through the process.
I have checked for troubleshooting on line and confirmed that the show this
folder as an email Address Book has been checked in Contacts Properties.
The fields are all mapping fine, the data just isn't filling in. ...

Where are Photos Stored?
For each of my contacts that has a business card, I have a low-res scan of
their business card stored in the contacts, but I can't find where they are
stored, or even where the pointer to the file is stored....
Is there a record in contacts associated with the image?

Any function to print a Contacts page?
Hi,
I have added a (tab) page with customize fields to the Contacts. It is fine.
But I have trouble printing it. Printing it as it is (i.e. the layout like
what we see on the screen).
Temporarily, I'm using screen-capture utility, GadWin, to capture the
screen. That's an excellent software. However, want to have the print out
more neat, i.e. only the given windows,page be printed, ...

How do I print the address book with a hp6310xi?
I am finding it impossible to print the contact list in a booklet form using
my new HP 6310xi printer. My old Lexmark (color end died and I was forced to
put to sleep) used to do it with no problems. How can it be done with the HP?...

Error Message: Invalid DN Syntax
Using Outlook 2003. I have two address lists. One is a regular Outlook
contact list which works fine. The other is an online list from my
university. When I try to use that one I get the following error message: "
Microsoft LDAP Directory: Invalid DN Syntax (34)". Can anyone help me figure
out what this means and what to do about it?

Public Folder Conflicts
We have a public contacts folder called NSS Contacts. When there is a
conflict I get a message in my email inbox that references the contact name
in the subject, and the body of the message reads: "Multiple edits have been
made. The conflicting edits have been attached to the conflict message in NSS
Contacts".

Show Names from the Contacts list empty
When selecting Contacts from the Show Names From drop down when sending a new
email, the list is empty in Outlook 2000 - In 2003, it appears empty, but if
I scroll way down and to the right, a limited number of contacts show up.
How do i change the formatting in 2003 and how do i get it to show up in 2000?

How turn off 'Display As' in Outlook contacts list?
I have XP Pro w/ Office 2003 Pro Edition,
within Outlook Contacts list I have duplicate entries for every contact
within my list,
both with the 'Email' address AND with the 'Display As' address ;
BUT, I ONLY want just one !
I have tried clearing out the 'Display As' contact but it just RE-appears.
This didnt happen with Window 2000 ...
