I can't link my Treo with Office 2007
I just install the new Office Beta 2007, but Outlook is not linking with my
Treo 650. The phone log said that the program is not supported. Do you have a
suggestion?

Changign Default Openeing Program
hey, i was wondering if anyone knows how to change the default version
of office. I've installed 2007, but i want my office files, unless they
are .docx or .pptx etc. to open up still in office 2003. I have tried
open with... but to no avail, it still opens in office 2007, any ideas?

Business Contact Manager was unable to initialize this form
this message pops up when double click on a contact. I have checked to see
if Bcm is enabled but that is not one of the two options shown. How to I get

Imports -- BCM 2007 Beta
I've managed to import approx 11,000 accounts and 20,000 contact records
into BCM from Goldmine 6.7 using Access 2003.
Have run into a few issues that I could sure use some advise on.
1. There appears to be some "auto-magic" updates that occur if the data is
entered by a user. For example ... when searching for an account using the
UI, those contacts that were manually entered appear...

BCB 2007 Registration / Vista 5384
Just install Office 2007 B2 and then BCM. Office activated sucessfully
but for some reason BCM fail during registration with message "Business
Contact Manager for Outlook could not complete you last action or
actions. Please try again". Anyone have an idea or know where I could
find the bcm installation log or registration log on my machine to see
if there is further info?

How to get from child Opportunity or Task, to CONTACT
By clicking on the Account in the Contact does take you to the Account, But
when you are in a child items like Task, Opportunity, etc. How can we get
back to the parent (Contact or Account) ???
this would be nice if you are going through the opportunity window to open
an oppotunity and then go directly to the Contact to follow up. same with
the Task.

Problem installing Outlook business manager (won't install)
I tried to install the BCM 2007 Beta 2.
The first time I ran the setup, it installed a hotfix for .net framework 2.
and then nothing happened. No setup window or anything like that.
I tried to run the setup again and again, but after self-extracting, nothing
happens.

Temp folder and program files folder are at different partition.

How to copy existing outlook contact files to another outlook data
I want to be able to transfer updates on my contact files from my laptop to
my desktop how do i apply this? I am in sales just started new job want to be
able to let wife work on certain accounts while I work in the field. at the
end of the day be able to update both contact lists. How do I do this?

OUtlook BCM 2007 vs. Exchange Activesync
I definetly have a need for more advanced features to manage my business
contacts / sales process.
I've attempted before to use BCM and shied away for a variety of reasons. So
now that Outlook 2007 Beta is out I thought this might be it.
Still think it is awkward the way Business Contact are separated from
regular outlook contacts, but ok there may be technical reasons for that.

Account - Unable to diplay folder
I was trying to re-order the folder, now I a gray blank screen and the
following error message:
Unable to diplay folder. Order by Item must appear in the select list if
SELECT DISTINCT is specified.
IRIS: 1005 ContactMAPIView.
How can I get back in there to change it?

How do I erase an outbox msg that won't let me manually delete or even open.

BCM V3 -Full of hope
I decided to uprade to office 2003 SBE only because BCM was included. The
marketing around this product is great. After using it for three months I
uninstalled it because it couldnt sync with contacts (and hence not my phone).
I use my contacts and update them in the phone, in regular contacts and in

Follow-Up Reminders in Beta
The Reminders Window never worked (from View | Reminders Window) in OL or
BCM 2003 when an Add Reminder was selected. The Reminders Window was always
blank and the Reminder never "fired" in BCM although it did in OL 2003.
I just tested in the BCM Beta and the Reminders Window is blank. Shouldn't

loading bcm
I have been reading all threads and trying to load bcm on Outlook 2003. It
is definitely loaded and when I go into Programs and request to enable BCM it
says it is already enabled. I have gone through the Data File Mgt and
followed the wizard to set up new database, restarted the pc and still it is

Error message saving adding Task in BCM 2003 SP1
When I try to save a Business Note or Task the following error is displayed:
INSERT statement conflicted with COLUMN FOREIN KEY constraint

BCM (Beta), OL & SBA Integration

Is BCM viable for 'company-wide' use? - comments

How can I view my BUSINESS CONTACTS by COMPANY?
I upgraded to Business Contact Manager and moved all my existing contacts
into the Business Manager Folder. Problem is, this caused the contacts to
sort by person's name, instead of by Company name as they had appeared in my
Contacts folder. How can I resort the contacts so that they view by Company

Proofing tools not working properly in Business Note
Has anyone else encountered difficulties in correcting text typed into a
business note? I cannot get the proofing tools to correct mistakes by
right-clicking and selecting the suggested correction. The suggested
correction is right, but selecting it yields no changes.

Another cannot install BCM 2007 Beta 2
My installation crashes partway through and gives me a reference to an error
log file "mbssetuptmp13.log". A search for the file turns up nothing. It
appears that it is being erased by the setup program. BTW I also have MS
Small Business Accounting 2007 Beta installed. That works fine
