business contact manager, unable to initialize forms?
Every time I try to open my Business contact manager, it opens and I can see
the pertinent information in the contact section, but if I open any of them I
get a "Unable to Initialize Form" message. I've closed out, restartted, and
looked through every possible help menu, but I have found nothing to solve

Trouble moving shared contacts into business contacts
Hello everyone,
We've recently implemented business contact manager and are in the testing
stage throughout one department. Most contacts will copy over to business
contacts fine by simply dragging and dropping, but when you try to copy some

Groups in BCM
I thought that when creating a category in BCM the same category will appear
in others computers sharing the same network and the same data base where BCM
is located.Unfortunately categories can't be shared how can I make this
possible to share the categories I created with other computers or is there
a chance to copy categories into other computers , please help ...

When 2nd user added to notebook, how to move BCM to this user?
Bought notebook with XP Pro/Windows SBE with BCM. I initially setup notebook
for home use and setup BCM. When my IT guy setup a second user for our work
Exchange 2000 server (and I added my home POP3 account to that user OutlooK),
I can now get logon to the work user and get both home and work email. I
would like to eliminate home user and move everything over to the work user
profile...

Business Contact Manager in Outlook 2003
I am using Outlook 2003 with SP1, but don't know how to start Business
Contact Manager. I have since downloaded BCM from Microsoft but still cannot
see where to start it in outlook. I cannot see the BCM folders. Please help...

How do I view the general tab of a business contact?
I can see the details, finance, etc. tabs on either a business contact or an
account. but I cannot see the general tab on either (obviously pretty
importnat). the data is there because I can see it in list view, and I can
see the general tab on a regular contact....

Filtered Junk e-mails

cannot restore this database (...)
Hi there,
I have been a good boy actually backing up my BCM database. After I had
installed Vista instead of XP I tried to restore the BCM database.
Unfortunately the computer replied with a rather vague answer. It said
'Cannot restore this database because at the time you made this backupfile
(*.sbb) you had no permission to do so. So now I won't let you restore it.'

Send EMAIL to a category of contacts
Ok, I would like to send an email to all of my contacts in a certain
category. I dont need a mailing list, but would like the mail to go out
individually so my customers do not see that I am sending it to every
one....
A plus would be to merge some fields in there like the first name and
company.

BCM questions - sharing of contacts
can I put the database on our SQL server, so its not running on someones
desktop? Or alternatively have the database run on our terminal server, so
that if the database pc is turned off folks can still use the business
contact manager?

Conversion Program
Does anybody have or know of a conversion program to convert all
Company info that's in our contacts (V2) into Account info in V3 and
then relink the contacts to the Accounts? I restored a backup copy of
the DB from v2 into v3 an the conversion process made a total mess of
my Company/Account info.

moving opportunities to project

project so once you have won it you can start working on it with out

retreiving outlook email crashes computer
Occasionally when I retreive messages through outlook 2003 the computer
crashes. a loud beep and it goes off. I uninstalled the outlook program.
There was an error with the sql server so I uninstalled it too. Reinstalled
outlook and the business manager and it happened again. I am using a Dell
Inspiron 9300 running XP Home. Help, I don't want to have to reinstall the

Is there anyway of seeing current day activity (ie. e-mails, tasks, calendar)
in a report for all accounts or business contacts?

Nothing shows in Business History
When I click on Business History tab nothing shows up. It says there are 2090
items and has "filter applied" beside it.
If there is a filter applied how do I remove it (from memory I have never
put one on?)....

Assigning Tasks in Business Contact Manager
Is there a way to assign tasks to people in your contacts like you can in
Outlook? I can only see where you have to add user accounts to the system in
order to assign tasks and share other info. Perhaps I installed it wrong -
but I would love some assistance with this problem. The product is useless
to me without that feature -- The Project Tools are awesome - just need to
find a way ...

Can't load BCM on office 2007 beta 2
can any one help i have loaded the beta2 version of office and opened outlook
which then give me the option to load Business contact manager, i took the
express option but it goes to a screen which gives you two choices. i chose
"I want to register with contact information" the screen does not change and
it then hangs
any help would be great.

BCM Beta will not install
Been trying to install the BCM Beta after install of Office 2007, but the
installation keeps failing. Removed Office 2003 and Office 2007 to try clean
install, but no luck.
At a stand-still. Worked nice on another computer I have with nice features.
Any help would be much appreciated!...

BCM Installation Errors
I have been trying to install BCM 2007. I installed Office 2007 with
Outlook 2007 beta without problems. I was able to link OUtlook 2007 to our
Exschange server and view and edit my emails. I then install BCM 2007 beta.
When I go to setup the contact database I get errors saying that "Business
