What do I have to rip out to reinstall BCM 2007?
Problems reported here previously with Outlook 2003 and 2007 compatibility
conflicts led me to rip out Beta Office and reinstall Beta Office, which I
did successfully.
Cannot reinstall BCM Beta. SQL folders are getting created, but not the BCM
folders, no BCM db is created. Ripped out SQL tried again, no good.
What do I remove or what do I edit in registry to get past this - I really...

Can you migrate MOST of ACT! data to BCM v2 ?
Can you migrate MOST of ACT! data to BCM v2 ?
Specifically have the following data in ACT!:
- contacts
- groups
- templates
- notes per contact (history items)
- calendar with events
(not using any of the lead/sales/oportunities)
Can all of the above be migrated to BCM ?
If not, will those migrate to another outlook-based CRM ?

BCM File Location
I'm getting set to rebuilding my harddrive after sufferring a virus attack.
It's been an experience I won't forget. I can still access the files through
the Safe Mode but I can't find the file that contains all my Business
Contact addresses. I understand they are not in the .pst file. Will someone
please point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Why can't I edit the date and time of a phone call in BCM?
Having a timer is cute, but am I the only one who makes telephone calls from,
say, the airport and makes notes on the back of an envelope? Why can't I add
these phone calls by hand -- and set the dates and times to those of the
actual calls?
The opening tour says I should spend less time in front of the computer and
more with my customer. But they forgot to tell the guy who designed BCM...

BCM 2007 beta: Report error.
i use Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Business Contact manager (Beta)
version 3.00.5218.10
reports can be displayed, and error messages are:

BCM is not available after loading
After having several issues with Business Contact Manager, I attempted to
reload with no success. I even uninstalled Office Professional Edition 2003
as well as BCM. Now I have no functionality of BCM at all. There is no
reference to BCM anywhere I can find in Outlook....

Never been able to use BusinessContact Mgr
I have Outlook with BCM, yet I have never been able to use it. I just forgat
about it for a whil: now I want it and tried to find it but it's nowhere in
Outlook. I attempted to reinstall it but it says it cannot complete the
installation because the path cannot be found. I have no idea what that means
or how to find it. Can someone help?...

Outlook/BCM 2007 on SBS 2003
Hello,
On an existing SBS 2003 (Exchange, DC) server I have installed MS Outlook
2007 Beta 2, as well as Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007. The
installations went without any problems, and the server was rebooted.
Outlook was not configured for any email accounts, just personal folders.
When I launch Outlook, the following happens:

I want to map to customized fields in Business Contact Manager
I'm mapping from an Excel spreadsheet into BCM. I designed a form to include
customized fields, ran and published it. But then when I start the import
process, the new fields do not appear in the map-to box....

Anyone familiar with ACT! 2006 (or 2005) and Outlook 2007 Business

BCM Reports Don't work after V2 installed
I reinstalled a number of times. I've uninstalled ACT! but I still have the
same error and am not able to print the report files. I tried associating the
rpt files with outlook and all I get is an email window with the RPT file
attached.
CAn anyone help?...

Can not create account in Business Contact Manager
I loaded BCM , first of all i do not find the Business Tools on the
navigation panel. Next when i want to create an account it say i do not have
the form and i should contact the administrator. Please assist....

Customize Outlook contact form with BCM
Ok, so I have seen, read and been disappointed in the fact that the BCM forms
are not customizable. However, here's my question........
I want to be able to track other information about the contact that has
nothing to do with "monkeying" around with the BCM accounts, contacts etc.
Can I add an additional tab to the Outlook contact form include my additional
fields and have BCM not care...

business contact manager on windows 2000 terminal server.
I have a small business server 2003, a 2000 windows server in which I have
implememted terminal services on, and several xp pro workstations. I was
told by MS pre sales support that I could install outlook 2003 with BCM on
the 2000 server and share the BCM database. However, even though I'm able to
install outlook and and bcm and set up sharing ....my xp workstation clients

How can others view my master categories list in Biz Contact Mgr
I am sharing my business contact manager with three other computers. I have
created a substantially updated category list. No one else can view it in my
peer to peer network. Does anyone have a solution to this? I also need to
know if the emails received from the email of my peers will appear in the
contact manger contacts as they do when I receive or send email to someone in
my database...

Hide Distribution List members from each other
I need to send out emails to members of distribution lists, however, due to
privacy laws, each recipient cannot receive the details of the other members
of the same distribution list. I've received emails in the past where the
address line was supressed. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers....

Outlook BCM dialer should link to phone log
Recently started using BCM. Historically I've used Outlook Journal entries
w/contacts as a basic contact manager. I was hopeful that BCM would increase
my functionality (e.g. activity reports) but I'm dissappointed that none of
my journal entries from the past can be converted to BCM history. Unless
I've missed something, I couldn't find a way to do that.
