Type of Business Field
I would like to be able to use this field to give a better desciption of the
type of Business i.e Hospital, Surgery Center ect. How can I add different
types of business to this drop down list?...

Why does my computer run so slow after installing BusContactUpgrd?
I installed MS Business Contact Manager Upgrade (after Office 2003 SP2) and
my computer runs at half the speed. After the upgrade I noticed an SQL
Server in my system tray and wondered if that had something to do with it.
The Windows start up sound doesn't even play all the way through. Everything
is fine after removing the upgrade. Anyone ever see this? ...

Problems getting PDA to sync with BCM
Running PC with OL 2003, BCM update installed.
PDA: Axim X5, Windows Mobile 2003 installed.
Updated business contacts in PDA - a total of 186 changes. PDA placed
in cradle, active sync starts, finds the changes. Goes to sync the Biz
contacts, stalls at first contact to change, never shows more than 1
record, Active Sync shuts down connection after 10 minutes.

problem w/BCM update?
I'm having problems installing BCM for OL2003.
I little background - I've had OL2003 w/BCM installed since April 2005 with
no problems. This weekend I reformatted my HD and re-installed all programs.
I installed Windows XP, Office 2003 Pro, then BCM, and then updated
everything, inlcuding Office from Microsoft.com (I just checked all the
recommended updates, don't know what they were.)...

Outlook backup
Hi,
I am currently working on a application that backups MS Outlook. It has
to save all messages, settings, accounts.
I can backup messages, accounts and most settings.
The problem is that I don't know where Outlook saves the user defined
RULES. I have used Regmon and Filemon to try find them with no luck.
So please if anyone knows where it saves the RULES or know how I could
find out p...

Can I convert Outlook journal entries to Contact Manager?
Have always used Oulook Journal entries (mostly phone calls & emails) linked
to my contacts to track activity. Has anyone found a way to convert these
linked entries to Contact Manager History notes associated with the imported
contacts? I don't want to lose all the previous history.
If not, are there any workarounds?

Anybody synchronizng Outlook Business contact manager with BlackBe
Just installed Outlook business contact manager. I carry a Blackberry that i
keep in synch using Intellisync Desktop Manager. When you move a regular
contact to a business contact, it no longer gets put on the BB. Is my only
option to manually replicate it on both sides? Thanks....

Linking Opportunites to Account List View
Hello,
We are listing our accounts via the default account list view.
I have added some extra columns to this view from the opportunity
summary (Close Date, Source of lead etc).
The problem is that any data from the opportunity is either coming up
as blank or "none".
I know the linking is there because I can access the opportunity record
via the individual account record.

Hello,
i have made a new form for the contacts in BCM.
now, if i like to show this field say( amount ) in the phone list vieuw, BCm
will ad the field to the list but will not show me the content of the field.
what am i doing wrong???

BCM 2007 Setup Registration Problems...
I have recently received the Office 2007 beta in my Action Pack. I installed
this and setup Outlook without any problem, I then decided to download the
BCM beta as I currently use it on Outlook 2003.
The installation went without any problem, however when the setup wizard
starts it attempts to connect to the 'Registration Service' and fails with

Cache Mode On Terminal Server
Hi,
I met a problem about Outlook cache mode on terminal server, I can enable
the cache mode on client's computer by group policy, but it doesn't work on
terminal server, it shows that it's unavailable and disable.

Contact group
In Outlook 2007 beta, when I try to send a message to a contavt group I get
an error message "an unexpected error occured".

Linking BCM Database into Excel
I've got a series of highly-customized Excel templates (invoices, receipts,
quotes, etc.) that I woud like to link up with my brand-new BCM database.
Basically where I ultimately want to go is create controls/selection boxes in
Excel that will show me a list of all the customers in BCM and when I choose
one, it populates the Excel template with all the customer data.
How can I do this?...

BCM 2007
I have installed BCM 2007 on Vista Beta 2 (Build 5384). I have a valid
shared database on another machine and the XP clients have been using it
fine for some time. When I try to connect the Vista box, it just doesn't do
anything. It won't see any databases on the "server". Any ideas? There
are no errors in the Event Logs or otherwise. It just doesn't do anything.
