Any risc installing BCM SP2 + SP3 allthough not for my language
Hi,
I have an issue with BCM (+SP1) and consider to install BCM SP2 and SP3.
SP2 & 3 are not available for my language tho.
Any risc if I install SP2 & SP3 in English anyway ?

why can't outlook load excel source file?
I downloaded a list of likely business prospects from the internet in an
excel file format. When I go through the import wizzard at the last step a
message comes up without explanation "can not load source file." What is the
likely problem? What steps do I take to be able to laod this data?...

Customize views
When I am inside looking at a contact, down below in the Business Contact
History Items box, you're given several categories such as Item Type,
Subject, etc. How can I add my columns and save it?
Everytime I add more columns it defaults back to its original configuration.

why are deleted emails keep returning in duplicat
In resetting my Outlook I have thousands of my old mails comming back from
over 1 year ago and my outgoing mail is stuck in the outbox. How can I

I am having trouble in getting an email out of Outlook-Small Busi
Messages are in the outbox, but are not sent. I am having no trouble in
receiving messages, but can't get these out. Also, I have more than one email
address, and cant get the second one to be recognized by Outlook. I get the
message that I need to have a digital ID but find no way to put one in, or
any choices to be made from the dropdown.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dynamic update of deleted emails in MS Biz Contacts Mgr in history
Hi all,
I am wondering if my "Business Contact History Items" within a Business
contact gets updated if i delete an email (in the main Outlook section - ie.
Inbox). On first inspection it appears that it doenst disappear when i
delete (and empty deleted items folder).
Any confirmation of this or any other advice ?...

Unknown error
I keep being ask to open outlook in safe mode as Business contact manager
addin experienced a serious error. The only codes showing in event log is
'2000' & '2001'. If I use safe mode to enable the addin I can then go back in
and use BCM, however the next time its back to square one.
Any suggestions welcome.

Database creation fails
I've installed the Office 2007 beta fine and the Outlook/BCM too. Starting
Outlook brings up database creation but every attempt fails. It start up the
process (after selecting the express option) but fails with error "Database
creation unsuccessful." Any suggestions?...

How to share Business Contact Manager database with access rights.
As the owner of the database, I hold the rights to all the info of the whole
database. I would like to share this DB to 2 sales guys for them to key in
their contacts. But the contacts and info sale guy 1 keyed cannot be seen by
sale guy 2 and vice-versa. Is there any setting that I can do?

deleted database manager now can not administor database
i member of staff had left, a we deleted this person as a user, we then found
that this user was set up as the database administrator, we can not now give
any one else access to this database.
Having relized our mistake after 7-10 days we tried to reset up that user
again, but software knows it is not the orginal user.
If any one has any sugestions they would be very much appreciated

stalling emails when composing
i was under the impression that there were MS MVP's in here with knowledge of
there bugs. i'm aware this is beta and we're not to "expect" support,
nevertheless, this forum does seem to exist.
has NO ONE encountered a similar discomfort with their new Outlook:

BCM contacts lost/disappeared
After a long sage whereby even BCM itself seemed to disappear, I have
completely uninstalled Office and reinstalled it, and now I have BCM 2003
running nicely, except that my BCM contacts from when I first had BCM running
are not anywhere to be seen...does anyone have any idea how I can get these
back? Is it because I opened a new database?

Understanding the shared data base
If we are sharing data on a small network, if anyone in the group links an
email to a contact, creates a note, sets an appointment, that information is
seen on all computers sharing the data base?
Can the data reside on a network and also on a lap top - the lap then
sycning the data back to the network?...

Editing the input fields
Can I edit the Input fields for my business contacts? For example on the
General Screen, The Account Financial Information is of no use to me. Can I

Email Auto-link in Business Contact Manager Intermittant
I create a new email to a contact using the 'New'-'Mail Message' option under
Business Contact History Items. The email apears in Sent Items but not in the
history items. Auto-linking has worked fine for the contact until now.
Manually linking the email back to the contact returns the error:
'BCM...could not complete your last action. Please try again'. Search and

Account history view in thread (discussion) mode fails
Hi
For test I created 1 account with 4 business contacts and had BCM auto-link
their emails.
The emails show up in the account history pane. I can categorizes the view
by all criteria
except by Discussion (Thread view?). An error suggest to restart Outlook or
if the error remains
to reinstall Outlook.

Cannot access the Business Contacts database.
For the past two weeks, I have been unable to access my Business Contacts
database. Whenever I start Outlook 2003, I get a warning dialog box titled
"Business Contact Manager" with the message "The information store could not

Outlook/BCM 2007 to Outlook/BCM 2003
I installed Outlook/BCM 2007 and need to go back to Outlook/BCM 2003. I have
tried opening the Outlook/BCM 2007 database in Outlook/BCM 2003 and it does
not recognize it. Can anyone help?
