what happens to my current hotmail e-mails
I am new to Outlook, so what happens to all the e-mails currently in my
Hotmail inbox and saved e-mails? Are they incorporated into the Outlook
inbox nad folders?...

Safe Senders List
When I receive an email that goes into junk email but belongs in my inbox,
if I go to the Outlook junk mail and left click add senders domain to safe
senders list, it does not work. I have to add the name by hand in the "add"
item - is this the way this is supposed to work?

Help! How to add online icon in outlook for my ERP users?
Our ERP software is intergraded with Outlook, now, we need to show an
icon before the outlook contact's name in the mail or in the contacts
window if the contact is our ERP's user. Anybody know how to do this?

Sum time in Outlook Calendar
Is it possible to sum duration time for a list view in the Outlook
Calendar? I would like to list all appointments for one or more
categories and sum the total duration.
One solution is to export to Excel, but I was hoping go get the summed
duration directly in Outlook.
Is it easy to create a macro that sums up the duration for a specified

Outlook and processing of Asynchronous Pluggable Protocol URL
I created a handler to my own protocol. i registered everything in the
system.... The requirements in the specification of the project were to
make this protocol look like this:

Outlook Runtime Error
Everytime I load Outlook and error message immediatly pops up that says
-- Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library runtime error. This application has
requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact
support team for more information. Then you have to hit ok and it shuts down.

How to Find the Message that contained The Attachment of a Known File-Name.
Is there some way to search through a list of emails in Outlook 2003
to find the one that contains an attachment of a specific file name?
I am often trying to track down the message that accompanied an
attachment with a known file-name amongst thousands of messages in one
mailbox.

Advanced Find Problem
I need to do an advanced find on the From field. All senders I am
searching for are from the same domain (eg microsoft.com).
Some senders have a Display name and some don't.
eg
Bill [billg@microsoft.com] - Bill has a display name
torvald@microsoft.com - Torvald does not have a display name.
If I do a search on the From field containing "Microsoft.com" it finds
Torvald but not Bill

OL2K3 - exporting account and rules settings....
Greetings,
Are there any utilities around that will allow me to "save" or "export" all
account settings (if passwords arent' saved, i can retype them) and rules
from OL2k3? After they're exported I'd like to then import them on another
PC.

Emailing a Web Page from Outlook
I'm trying to email a web page from Outlook and when I select File,
Send, Page by Email, the Outlook Express is opens vs Outlook. I have
checked and under Tools, Internet Options, Programs, Outlook is
selected as the email program and when I click on an email link on a
web site Outook opens.
Any ideas why for emailing a page, OE opens vs Outlook.

Not receiving any incoming emails
For some reason I can not receive any incoming emails for my Outlook 2003
(nor my webmail account). I setup my email account and completed the test
account settings and all test checked okay. I even went to Tools>Send and
Receive>Send and Receive All, and that went through w/no errors. I tried
sending me an email from my yahoo and my school accounts and they both came
back stating...

Help with Rules: can't select Public Folders.
Does anyone know why it's sometimes possible, but not always, to use a rule
to move or copy a message to a public folder? I don't seem to be able to
select the public folder; I can select it, but it doesn't stick. The
inconsistency is a bit weird. I can't even make a, 'from scratch' exact
copy of a currently working rule that moves a message to a public folder.

to update Outlook calender from meeting notice mail from others
Whenever some one plans a meeting / schedule of which you are a part and send
you a notice over email. I should be able to update my calender from the mail
received from others so that we need not enter the detais of the appointment
in our calender again.

lost news button
I was configuring Outlook (not Express) to be my newsreader, but I lost the
icon from the menu. I ran through the procedure in the help screen to locate
it on the Go menu and drag it to an active toolbar, but it's gone from the
Go menu as well. I even ran through the Detect/Repair for MS Office, but

search function stopped in Outlook Beta
I really like the new Outlook beta, particularly the search function.
However it has stopped working. When I type in the box, I get the error

Incomplete Import/Export options
I have a full installation of Office 2003 Pro, with SP2 installed.
When I click FILE | IMPORT AND EXPORT, I only get three options:
"Export to a file", "Import Internet mail account settings", and
"Import Internet mail and addresses". The other three options, "Import
a vCard", "Import an iCalendar", and "Import from another program" are
all missing. Any idea on how to get them back?

Spell check in English and Spanish
Dear readers:
I did not receive any response from a previous post, so I'm repeating it.
Is there a way to spell check in Outlook in English and Spanish
simultaneously with a feature like detect language automatically available
in word.
I find it annoying to have to change the default language every time I write
mail in Spanish.
