Extention config error
M.Soft Outlook
after an automatic restart as the result of an upgrade I was presented with
the follow error.
Extention Configeration File
C:\windows\addins\fxset.ecf
could not be installed
error in syntax or format of the file
To date I cannot see any operational difference,
but what does the error mean and
what effects should it have and
how can I correct it

How to set up email so font size is larger for reading and sending, 11 or 12 pt?
I'm on a replacement dell computer and I want the font size to be
larger when reading emails and larger when sending the out. Rather
than do a "view" and enlarge the text for each and every email
received, is there a way I can change it globally?
Also, how do I set up a default so that all emails I compose are in a
specific font size? Otherwise, it is set for arial 10 and I need to

Teaching outlook on campus
Anyone have any success teaching outlook. Any suggestions on how you

Initiation error
When I try to initiate Microsoft Outlook 2003 I get an error message that
says,

Email template
Hi,
I am trying to setup my own email template.
But everytime when I create a new message, it automatically add 2 new lines
in the body of the message. Is there way to get rid of those 2 new lines?

Help - another question related to rules - automaticaly responses not showing up in Sent Items.

Rules do not move message, they copy, How to stop this?
Tuesday afternoon
I use 9 rules to put messages where I want them, don't ya know.
ALL rules are set to MOVE the message not copy.
I get messages from 8 groups, some from Yahoo, and some others.
Problem:
a message comes from a one of the groups
the first message filter parses the SUBJECT and copies the message to a designated folder
another filter parses the FROM ADDRESS and...

Incorrect address book showing in Delegates window
I've got a user who is trying to add a delegate in Outlook 2003, but
when she opens the Delegates->Add window, the address list she's
showing is "All Local Groups." I've made sure that in her Outlook

Outlook 2003 rules add-in to overcome 32k limit
I migrated a few months ago from using Outlook as a standalone client to
using it with an Exchange server. I had to remove over half of my rules
because of the 32k characters limit for rules. I have put up with manual
sorting of email for too long now.

Files still left on this newsgroup but can't read

I've just finished reading all the unread postings on this ng. Before I
started there were 5 unread (5 was in bold in brackets) and nothing would

RPC over HTTP
I use Outlook 2003 with SP2 on a windows XP SP2 laptop. I need to configure
it so that I can connect to a Small Business Server 2003 that has 15 other

Outlook "autocomplete" shows unknown addresses
I shall be glad if somebody can advise me how to erase the list of
autocomplete email addresses in Outlook 2003. Whenever I send email to
anyone whose addy's first letter is "j" I get two addys in the drop down
list that I don't recollect receiving from or sending mail to anytime.
System is clean of any form of mal ware.

Asian Characters in Anniversary Date??
I am trying to synch my T-Mobile MDA w/Outlook via Active Synch. I
have Outlook 2003 SP2
For some reason or another, when you look at the Details of some of my
contacts, the Anniversary date is prefilled with Asian Characters.
This prevents any further synching with the PocketPC. I can change the
Anniversary date to "none" manually but eventually it reverts back to
the Asian Characters....

Outlook no connection
I have a network with Windows 2003 Server and Exchange Server 2003, one
of the clients who uses Outlook 2003 has a problem, it prevent me to
create new rules for messages, the message that pops is something like
"the file outlook.0st it'not a file of folders without connection".
Any idea what's the problem is and how to fix it?

How to transfer signatures to MS Outlook contacts folder?

Automatic formatting doesn't scan message body?
In Outlook 2003 I have configured an automatic format rule to turn the
message red when it contains certain key words within the body of the
message but Outlook does not apply the formatting.
I am able to make the formatting work with key words in the subject line,
but not message bodies. Is this a know bug or are there additional
configurations that are required to make it work?
