URL's in preview vs open window
I'm using the Office Outlook 2007 beta 2 and wonder if I need to "fix"
something or if I'm experiencing a temporary problem. If there's a url in
an open message, I don't get a "pointed finger" icon when I pass my mouse
over that url. If I go to the preview window and pass the mouse over the
same url, the pointer changes to the pointed finger just as it always has in

Syncing Outlook between two computers
I am using MS Office Pro 2003.
Is it possible to sync outlook data between my desktop (primary) and laptop?
I use Briefcase to sync other files. Is it possible to do that with Outlook
files too? Which files?

Outlook 2003 username cache
I am having an issue where when I login to Outlook via RPC/HTTPS from a
remote site on a computer that is not part of the domain, it pulls up
the wrong username as default. Allow me to explain; approximately three

Outlook slowed down seriously
My Outlook 2003 started slowing down seriously 2 days ago. It still
works, but VERY slow. Not only during sending and receiving emails,
just the whole program. E.g. when I click on the Outlook button on the
task bar to get Outlook reappear, the Outlook frame and toolbars
appear, but it takes ages for Outlook to show its content. Opening an
email, and opening next email take ages (1 minute!) a...

deleted items reappearing!
Help.
Many clients of ours are recently claiming that after they purge their
deleted items folder (outlook 2003), they reappear soon afterwards. We tried
it with cached mode and without (using exchange server 2003). The same thing
happens in OWA. I saw some previous posts, but no one offered a solution.
Any idea?

lost emails while compacting
Hi, I have jsut lost about 2,000 emails from my inbox after responding
to the prompt to compact. These emails are the latest in my in box.
What actually happened? Can someone help me as I need to retrieve them

I am using Office 2007 b2 Tech Refresh and have to say that generally i love
it, i cant imagine going back.
BUT..........
One thing in the TR of Outlook... the SEND button on msgs. It looks SO out
of place now next to the address fields. I guess it is for people who have
the ribbon minimized? So put it on the quick command bar, better. It looks
terrible where it is now. Especially if you...

Auto turn on of the Out of Office feature
Is there a way to have the Out of Office assistant turn on and off
automatically at predefined times of the day?
I'm only IN the office from 8am-noon, Mon-Fri, and I keep forgetting to
turn on my Out of Office assistant.
If anyone knows of an add-on feature that would allow me to do this,
please let me know. I would GREATLY appreciate it.

H.E.L.P. Is there a way to sync with outlook wirelessly from another location?
I just purchased my first laptop and I was wondering if there was any good
software that would sync my outlook emails,contacts and calendar between

how to automate specifying the account to use when sending mail?
I am using MS Outlook 2003 with my company email as default account.
I am also using my gmail/hotmail and other accocunts to both send and receive.
With this, Is the following possible:
Everytime I write to my boss/colleagues, Outlook should use AUTOMATICALLY

Filtering SPAM
Is there a way to filter any incoming email into Outlook 2003 that contains
a .GIF attachment and send it to the Junk Mail folder? It appears the
spammers found a way to get by the regular filtering?

How do I set up daily reminder with tasks?
I want to set a reminder to take a medication each day at noon but don't
want it in my calendar since I don't want it sync'd to my phone. I tried
using tasks and it's rather cumbersome. I set it up to remind every day and
then regenerate a new one but I found that if you don't check the box then
it won't regenerate the next days task. Simply clicking DISMISS isn't
enough. Is there a ...

Problem with two time zones
I have a problem trying to use two time zones.
If I set up the current timezone as Adelaide (GMT+9:30) and timezone 2 as
Sydney (GMT+10:00), it works fine: the two times display 30 minutes
different, as expected (eg Adelaide = 16:30, Sydney = 17:00).
But if I swap the time zones making Sydney current, it shows the correct
time for Sydney, but shows Adelaide an hour slow (eg Sydney = 17...

problems sending images with Outlook
Recently I have had problems when trying to send mail with an image (either
pasted into message form or attached).
The mail is sent with no error messages.
In the "Sent files" folder the mail and image appear normal.
The recipient, however, instead of the image gets an attachment
"winmail.dat" which cannot open.

Outlook 2003 Read Pane stops working
I have used Outlook 2003 without serious problem for many years.
Yesterday it crashed and when it restarted, the Reading Pane
disappeared.
I checked the "Settings" and the "Reading Pane" was set to "Right" as
before.

How to Set Defaults in Navigation Pane
I just recently switched computers at work, and am now using
