Outlook/PDA Tasks -- tantalizing, but not there yet
This has to be getting to be an old story. Why does Microsoft perpetually
ignore Outlook Tasks?
I want to use Outlook/Exchange to manage a fairly large, active shared task
list for a small group of busy technical consultants who support a number

Cached Exchange Mode out of sync
Hi There,
I use Outlook 2003 in Cached Mode with Exchange 2003. My Inbox does not
synchronize properly. I open Outlook on another pc (also in cached mode)
and the inbox items are not there. If I receive mail on the other pc, items
never display on my main pc. In OWA it only shows inbox items on the other
pc. Other folders and sent items appear to synchronize properly.

Sharing Outlook over a home network
I know, I know, www.slipstick.com. :D But I guess what I really want
to get across is just how frustrating it is to have to, in this day and
age, where more and more folks are using home networks, that we Outlook
users have to go to third-party programs to accomplish the sharing that

How to get rid of adobe
I have Outlook 2003 on WinXP. I also have Adobe Acrobat 6.
Every time I want to create a new e-mail message, and
annoying Attach as Adobe pdf icon appears on a toolbar that
fills up a full extra line, thereby reducing my working
screen area. Although I can make it go away through View |
Toolbars | uncheck Adobe open the Attach as Adobe pdf
toolbar, it comes back with the very next new mess...

View Hotmail Messages in Outlook 2000
Hi,
I've created a new folder and titled it "Hotmail" with it's home page
pointing to: http://www.hotmail.com , and it's set to display the home page
by default. I can see the page in the folder's window in Outlook, but I
can't open any messages as I can only see the sender's details and not the

Read recipients not being sent in Outlook 2000
Hello All,
I have a client who recently switched from using Exchange 5.5 to a simple
POP3 email server. Since then his Outbox has been showing read receipts that
are not being sent. I've checked all his settings and Outlook is configured
to automatically send all read receipts when connected to the internet,
which is all the time as he has a broadband connection.

Automatic Formatting not Displaying on Shared Calendar
I'm using Outlook 2003 and have used Automatic Formatting to color code
appointments. I have given permission to other users to view & edit my
calendar. However, they do not see the color codes, although it does

Possible to globally set fields in messages views?
I have numerous folders and subfolders in my in-box. I now
have Outlook 2003 on WinXP, formerly using Outlook 2000 on
Win2k. In neither one can I find a way to either change the
e-mail default fields once and for all (in which case I'd
want one default for in-coming and another for out-going),

Problem replying to email with Outlook 2003
Hi
When I generate a reply to an email all the fields seem to get filled
in properly, i.e. the "To" field has the correct senders email
address.
The problem is that after clicking on "Send" when the email appears in
the "Sent" folder the "To" field now contains the email address for
the account, i.e. mine! so the email gets sent back to me.

Attachements in Body of Mail - Possible?
Hello All
Work have recently upgraded our laptops and I know have Outlook 2003.
In my previous version (cant recall which one sorry) I could insert a file
attachement (pdf, doc or xls) within the body of the text, now I can only
insert them as an attachement away from the text.
In my emails I like to say to users, for example, the reuslts can be found

I am getting the following error message
Microsoft Office Outlook
(Red X) Could not complete the operation. One or more parameter values are
not valid.
Click OK, and everything works OK. It is randomly appearing, even when I am
not using Outlook at all.
I have done all the obvious, repair Outlook, virus scan, etc.

Can you tell me whether there is anyway to change the Outlook email stamp to

2007 Outlook BCM Update greyed out Outlook Toolbar
Hi,
Vista RC1 is in fine. Burned at slow speed with freewhare CD Burner. No
problems.
BCM RC1 update - Outlook toolbar is greyed - I created a new user to see if
that would fix problem - BCM installed fine but SEND email is greyed out as
is Data Management Import/Export?
Does anyone have any idea my outlok toolbar is greyed out - what could be

Addresses and Contacts
I think this is the most confusing part of Outlook. Iam trying to move
everything over to a new laptop. I have copied all my pst files. If i try
and create a new email now, there are no addresses to select from....But if
I go into the contacts within Outlook they are there.
What do I have to do to transfer my contacts over so I can use them???

issue with outlook XP
Hi,
One of my colleague had a strange problem yesterday.
When his client has his notebook connected to company network, he's able
to read all his emails.
When client disconnect his notebook from company network, and select
File->Offline, client is not anymore able to read his email and folders
where they are normally stored. Concretly the message error is that

Outlook meeting sent to iCal recipient changes time
Hi all,
I have read a few posts but am searching for a definitive answer (if
one exists) to this problem.
Internal users using Outlook invite an external board member to
meetings but when he receives the meeting on his Mac in iCal, the
meeting is entered into his diary 8 hours later than Perth time (i.e.
GMT).

Random letters in emails
Hello, this is a bizarre problem. When a reply is sent to an email a
series of random letters appear at the end of the email. There seems to
be no set pattern but it is a bit worrying that one day they might
spell out something offensive to the recipient! I have checked to see
whether it is a corrupt signature, but this is not the case. Its
running on XP, Outlook 2002 with SP3. Thanks.

OL 2007 Beta 2 Calendar appointment "Bell" Symbol?
Hi,
If I recall correctly with OL 2003 there used to be a little symbol in the
shape of "bell" when a reminder time was set in an appointment that was
visible on the Calendar view for the appointment.
This appears to be missing in OL 2007 Beta 2. Can it be made to appear?
