Outlook crashes when typing recipient
Every time I try to send an email message in Outlook, it crashes as
soon as I start typing in the recipient address. Does anyone know what
could be causing this and how to fix it? I do not have any Add-Ins
installed.

IMAP + POP3 account
Hi all
I have 1 POP3 account and 1 IMAP4 account.
And the end I was able to setup a rule that move a copy of any msg sent via
IMAP account to the Sent-msg folder of the IMAP account.
The trick was to set the IMAP account as DEFAULT ACCOUNT, but ther is a
proble, so ...

activesync or outlook problem
After upgrading the ROM on my Axim x51v I was unable to sync with the pc
getting a prompt that I had to install Outlook if I wished to include mail,
contacts and calendar with the sync. Assuming that for some reason
activesync wasn't able to "see" the beta, I uninstalled it. Then, Outlook
2003 wouldn't run with the prompt "missing or corrupted mapi32.dll" so,

IMAP sent-mail folder
Hi all.
I have OUTLOOK 2002 - SP3.
I'm trying to create a rule to put all sent msgs from an IMAP4 account into
an IMAP FOLDER : sent-msg but it doesnt work.
The rules is like :
tools -> rules -> check msg after sending -> throught the account ... ->
move a copy to IMAP sent msg folder
all msg are moved to POP3 sent-msg folder but NOT in the IMAP sent-msg
folder

URL links in Outlook 2003
I have a PC with two users setup.
WinXP Home SP2, Outlook 2003, IE6 and Firefox 1.5.0.7.
When clicking on an embedded email link in Outlook User A works fine and
opens the proper web page.
When User B does the same thing this error message pops up:
"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your system administrator."

MY OLE stopped working?
Until recently My Corel Photo Shop 6 program was integrated with outlook so
that if I wanted to "Email" a picture, Corel would open a new Email message
with the desired file(s) as an attachment.
As of today, I get a "Not Implemented" message from Outlook, and then some
weird error messages.
Strangely enough, the message is created and is sitting in the "outbox" with
no addresses, so ...

outlook is not sending
Hello,
I've been running outlook 2003 for a few years now on a terminal server .
..and not really had many problems .. however lately more and more users are
messaging me about email getting hung up in the outbox .. while closing and
reopening the application will allow them to send .. it seems strange to
have this in the first place..
any ideas?

Email with gif backround not received
Hello,
I posted earlier about some emails not being received.
I've narrowed this down now to those with a background gif file such as
ivy.gif.
When sent without the .gif file the email arrives. Add the .gif file and it
doesn't.
I can't see anything here that has changed or says block emails with gif
backgrounds.
Any ideas anybody??

Group by field the Inbox
If I group by "Recevied" field the Inbox folder, Outlook 2002 (10.xxx ver.)
create a gruop for every message (!!!) because it gruop by
year-month-day-hour-minute and second too (like in the example image at
http://web.tiscali.it/errediemme/img.jpg ).
Is there a way to group only by day (year-month-day) and not even by second
(hour-minute and second)?

New patches?
Recently, after Windows update, Outlook has trouble sending and receiving
e-mail. A few weeks ago, I fixed the problem by doing a System Restore prior
to the updates. Now when I send and receive, half the time, I get an error
message - can't connect to server, an error has occurred, etc.

Outlook 2003...prevent deleting contacts?
We use Outlook 2003 at work for a client list of about 1500. Today, we
noticed a couple of clients that had been entered had been deleted.
Luckily, they were found in the "deleted items" folder, but I wonder, is
there a way to either prevent or "Prompt" when a Contact is about to be
deleted?

does IIS server effect the Outlook working
My outlook is working for incoming emails but not for outgoing emails.
incoming= POP3 = port:110
Outgoing= SMTP = port: 80
iis server is using the same port no. 80 is it a problem
Currently i am having .NET in my system does it affect Outlook work.

Outlook 2003 Cached mode and accessing muliple profiles easily

Outlook dropped "Tools" from the menu - how do I get it back?
Ok, I fired up my Outlook the other day, and it somehow got some
settings screwed up. As opposed to downloading messages, I have to
click to download each message in order to read it. What's also strange
is that in the standard text menu bar, the "Tools" menu has vanished,
and there's no way to get it back.

Printing outlook calendar custom forms
Created a custom form as a added tab to IPM.Appointment to enter
additional information for an event. Form can be seen by shared
calendar users.
How can this custom form be printed directly verses having to "print
screen" then paste into word. Xprint works only for mail message and
post from and not calendar.

Outlook Asking for OE Login
A computer has both OE and Outlook 2003 installed. OE is password
protected to start up. When the user opens Outlook, the prompt to log
into the identity for OE pops up even without OE being started. How is
OE tied into Outlook at that point, and how can this login be disable at

how-to change the default grey font for Read Group Headers?
Hi,
In the Inbox view settings I see an option to change the 'unread' group
header font/color but I cannot see how to change the 'read' group
header font/color. I find the default grey to be difficult to read on
my monitor and I'd really like to change it.
Does anyone have a nifty trick for doing this?

shortcut in excel sheet to and Outlook email
I need to create a reference to an email in outlook for an incident log
that could link to/open an Outlook email.
Dragging only copies and right mouse button dragging provides Create
Shortcut Here in the context menu, but pastes nothing when selected.
Does anyone know how this can be done?
