It looks like row 3 is the first data row and the array should be A3:E8....

why does the vlookup function not work using time?
When i tried using the vlookup function to look up time and display the cell
next to it, there was a glitch every 20 minutes or so (in the time typed in)
it would show the cell above the one it should. I was using a 5 min
interval in my 'time'.
How can i fix this?...

SORTING PROBLEM
I have a spread sheet that has locations in it formated as : 1A2, 1B2,
1C2,
1A3, 1B3, 1C3 , on and on etc....
I need to sort it so all the 1A2's are listed, then the 1B2's then the 1C2's
, and then the 1A3's , 1B3's , etc
How can I achieve this ....
If I remove all the first digits and then sort It gets it close too what I
need, but I still have to do a lot of cutting and pas...

Problem with VLOOKUP in 2003.
Let’s say I am in an excel file, we will call it file #1. Previously, with
the old version of excel(Excel 2002), I was able to use the VLOOKUP function
in excel to look up information in a different excel file (let’s call it
excel file #2) and have the output show up in excel file #1, the one I was

Excel X for Mac - show formulas
Is it possible to show formulas on a worksheet in Excel x for mac? I know
how to do this on a pc, but I can not seem to find a way on this mac. I am a
teacher in middle school and I want to give a problem that the students can
solve and then print their answers in both values and formulas.

Convert a text file to columes
I'm trying to convert a text file with multiple rows (10) of repeated data.
The "Text to Columns" function in Excel can only sort one row. Is there a way
in Excel where I can format it to convert these data into just one row?

the countA function is counting everything even empty cells
I have an Excel spreadsheet with 8000 rows. I would like to know how many
cells in a particular column have value or text entered. When I use the
formula =countA(e5:e8003), the number returned is 7998 (the number of rows in
the column). As I eyeball the document, obviously not every cell has a
number or text in it, though. Shouldn't this formula only count the cells in

How to convert 120608 in Excel into 12 Feet 6 inches 8 sixteenths
I use Excel formulas in the Truss manufacturing industry. (We use a format to
enter Feet, Inches, Sixteenths. 112 equals 1 In., 12 Sxth. [1-3/4"] 10907
equals 1 Ft, 9 In., 7 Sxth. [1' 9-7/16"] )
How can I convert this into a decimal number for calculations? Or how can
this be separated into three cells for manipulation?

ISMPT compared to Amortization

Adding Time Function
Howdy!
I am working on a project where I have a start time in [h]:mm:ss and
duration of time in seconds.
I would like to add the seconds to the time and come up with a time
