Help with formula/function
Hi:
I hope I'm posting this with the correct group.
I have a Excel workbook that contains 40+ worksheets. These sheets
represent different individual accounts. The worksheets contain rows
that are numbered by day. In each row, I have three values that I need
to track. At the end of the month, these values are all summed
together.

Hello,
I have columns representing company, company's product, and company
street address. all this information is in a row. i have about 800 rows
in my spreadsheet. i want to filter this spreadsheet so it contains
only products that are made by 10 companies or less. that is, i want to
be relatively selective in choosing products that are not made by a lot
of companies, just 10 or less.

Formulas
I need to create a formula to search a worksheet for a specific number and if
it finds it to copy that row to a new worksheet.
Example find all the power units "463" then copy to new worksheet.
Anybody have any ideas or tell me where to look for it.

Start/End Date Calcs
I'm trying to fill-in cells with a value based on a start/end date. For
example:
State Date: 2-Oct
End Date: 23-Oct
Availability: .25
Would like the "Availability" value to drop in these cells:
2-Oct: .25
9-Oct: .25
16-Oct: .25
23-Oct: .25
Can I automate this without having to copy every time?

Hi,
I searched on this NG but I can't find a solution to my simple problem.
On Column A are dates, e. i. 09/28/06 format. On column B are values. I'd
like to get the total on Column B if the dates on Column A are days in

can I auto fill zip code column when city is typed
I am using excel 2003 and am typing a customer list of 3,000 names. I found
once I type a name, when I begin to type it again, the program AUTO FILLS it
, which is great because it cuts down on my actual typing. Therefore, I want

Non updatable Unique Random Number

consolidate data using 3d function AND indirect
I'm trying to consolidate cell "u1" across multiple tabs using the SUM
function.
The following works for me:
=SUM('tab 1:tab 2'!U1) [resulting in 2 if both u1's are 1]
I know the name of the first tab but the name of the last tab I want to be
determined using the indirect function which will refer to a cell which has
the name of the last tab in it. I've tried the following:

IRR: is there a quickest way?
Hi all!
If i have a series of payment that occur regularly in time (let's say
at the end of the year) but not in the amount, is there a way to
calculate IRR without writing down the entire plan?
I mean, a formula where i can say "this is the first amount for X
periods; this is the second amount for Y periods" and so on. In this

One-time NOW() function
When you enter the NOW() function in a cell, the current date/time info gets
put nito the cell. What I want is a one-time functioning of NOW() so that
the date and time that I enter NOW() into the cell remains the same. As
everyone knows, NOW() will get recalculated to the present each time
recalculation for that worksheet takes place. Thanks for any help anyone can
