lines colors when selecting rows
I had to have a new tower on my pc at work. I had to redo all colors and
everything else. I have a problem on Excel 2000. Before when I selected
rows the row number appeared in black as I scrolled down to select more rows.
Now it the row number turns white when I select that row and on the other
rows I select. I cannot find anything in help on my pc nor on the Microsoft
website help...

Removing "Reviewing" Toolbar permanently
The "Reviewing" toolbar keeps appearing on the desktop. I remove it and it
comes back up when I open Excel the next time. Is there any way to
permanently keep this toolbar from appearing on the desktop until it is
needed?...

123->Excel
Office 2000 Pro
I reinstalled Office Pro with all the converters but Excel still won't
convert Lotus spreadsheets.
It recognizes them because it says "Cannot open Lotus Worksheet"
Is there another converter somewhere or option that I should have taken to
get it to convert 123 files?

Default Workbook
Using Windows XP; MS Office 2003 (11.5612.5606)
Whenever I open Excel, a blank workbook entitled "Personal" opens. If
I open any other Excel file, the "Personal" workbook opens first. This
may have resulted from a prompt to save my "Personal" macros... and I
may have made an error in how I saved it.

Cannot (re) size Excel Window
Help!
For some obscure (to me) reason I cannot re-size Excel. I can 'Size'
individual Windows within Excel but not Excel itself. 'Size' is greyed out
in the top left menu button. Every other program seems OK. I have tried
repairing to no avail. Is there some obscure setting I've missed? I use
Excel 'sized' (as opposed to full screen) a lot and its a pain not being

excel 2003 keeps attemtping to reinstall 2 yrs after having been .
have had moofice student and teacher edition 2003 installed for two years. in
the past two days am not able to open any excell document. computer

Office 2k.
Have 13 sheets, one for each month and a "summary" page.
Each monthly page has a "Notes" column for special notes, comments, etc.
The Summary page also has corresponding columns (January Notes, Feb.
Notes,etc.etc.) for each month.
When done with particular month, I try to remember to transfer Notes from
individual monthly pages to summary page Notes. Now I just retype data

What measurement unit is used for the row height in Excel?
I am trying to change the row height to 6 ml, the row height says that it is
12.75, but if that's talking about mls then 19 lines should be about 245 ml
which is how high I want my piece of paper, but it's not AAARRRGGGHH please
help me...

Help with a macro
I am tring to write a macro that opens a sheet and copies cell from it
to my original sheet. The copied cells are in the same place on the
sheet, but the thing is, the name of the sheet changes. I guess what
I'm asking is is there a way to have it prompt me for the name of the
sheet I'm going to copy from?

auto delete characters in cell left of @ sign
I have a spreadsheet with about 1000 email addresses. All I want from those
email addresses is the domain name. Can anyone tell me a quick way to
automatically delete all the text to the left of the @ sign in the email
address? I can do it manually, but that's awfully boring not to mention time
consuming.

Can I install just Excel from Office 2000?
I have "Office 2000 Standard" and have tried 3 times to only install Excel,
