With linked Excel data to a MySql Db I get a message on file open asking if I
want to enable automatic refresh. The answer is. "Yes, Always" so how can I
supress the message?...

Dynamic Range
I have a set of charts that are all drawn from a data set that grows every
day. As it is I need to edit the source data settings every day to extend
the charts by a day every time I update the data.
I'd rather set value of the last row to use in one of the cells of the
spreadsheet, and then use a function to return the correct range instead of

Delete custom menu bars
Hi,
I have problems to delete my custom menu bars. I've tried to delete the menu
bars via menu, I deleted them and added new bars with the same name, I tried
to reset the menu bars, I deleted all "excel10.xlb" files...
Do you know any other (setup-, ini-) files which could cause this problems?
If you can't help me I will reinstall Excel.

Why is excel loading features every selection of program
I have just reloaded Office Professional for XP and now, every time I open
any one of the programs, it starts loading features again....it didn't used

All arithmetic functions return Zero as result
I have a column of 2960 numbers (amplitudes of an earthquake wave). I want to
find the max and min of them, max and min functions return zero. I doubted
maybe the data are text, but multiplication of a single cell in a multiplier
(let say 2), returns correct result. Sum on all data doesn't work as well
(returns zero) but sum of two cells works correctly. Also x-y plot returns
zero value ...

Chart, draw Normal Distribution curve
For a set of data, I want to draw the Normal Distribution curve in addition

Indirect address inside ""
=COUNTIF(F$2:F$1561;">0.9") J4=0.9
I want to drag above command, downward. Value of 0.9 is stored in J4.
How can I produce J4 with formula so that it repeats while dragging.
I face this problem a lot. I think by combination of Indirect and Row it is
possible to solve. I tried some combination but they didn't work.

Excel not Printing
Hey everyone. I have 3 users having the same issue. Sometimes, when they
open Excel and try to print, nothing happens. They can all print test pages
without a problem. One user says that has noticed a few times that this
occurs when she opens an attachment from email that is an excel spreadsheet,
but she has also noticed it when just open an excel file stored on her local
hard drive....

OBDC Data Formatting
Hi,
I can't find a NG for ODBC in excel so I hope you can help me? We query a
SQL database that holds dates in the datetime format i.e. dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss.
We normally force formatting on this column to send the data to Excel by
forcing it using +Year, +Month & +Week in our legacy databases now we have
swapped to SQL Query doesn't recognize the function +Week but does the others.

Default settings not applied to new documents
I followed the instructions I found on this board to change the default
settings for new workbooks, and it works perfectly when I first open Excel
and being a new workbook. But if the first new document is already open
(Book1), and I open another new document (Book2, Book3, etc.), most of my
settings are not applied. Cell alignment, column width, etc. are all back to
the factory defaul...

How can I print gridlines?
I have tried all three ways that were described in messages from other
people, but the gridlines still do not print. The border function made them
show up on the screen, but they did not print. Checking the Gridline box in
page setup seems to do absolutely nothing.

DELETE IS GRAYED OUT
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I cannot delete and entire column in Excel.
Can someone offer suggestions to fix? When I highlight , for example, column
B, and go to Edit--Delte, the Delte is grayed out. Same when I right click.

Changing number sequence on different pages
I have an excel spreadsheet that is 100 pages long. I would like for page 11
to say page 1 of 1, page 12 to say Page 1 of 2, and so on and so on. At page
41 I would like to start a new numbering sequence again so that it is Page 1
of 1 until the end which would be Page 60 of 60.

I need to set up a spreadsheet that keeps track of the total hours worked of
three groups. Within those groups are 10 employees. The trick I need

Can't open Excel files
Our company installed a new server and ever since I can't open an excel file
by double clicking from it's location, it opens Excel and gives the error
message that it can't find the specified file. I have to open Excel first
and then choose the open command and select the file from there. I am the
only person in the office with this particular problem.

Add-In question
Hi
I have created an Excel add-in and would like to know which event is fired
when a wbook is closed so that only the application (ie the add-in) is left
open. What I need to do is disable (not remove) my Custom popupmenu and need
an event to do this from.
