Capture RS232 data
Hello, I work with a system that prints out receipts on a dedicated little
printer whenever there is a transaction.
I want to be able to capture the information onto a laptop that I plug in
instead of the printer, and end up with it all in an Excel spreadsheet.
The printer connects to a multi-pin socket that looks like a COM port.
The data comes out (and I don't know what any of this me...

Excel file not printing numbers
Hello,
I have some excel files that can't print numbers (or text) on one of our
network printers. There is only layout and borders, but with empty cells.
However, when we print the same file on our other printer, it's all OK.
There are also some other excel files that don't have such a problem.
Can somebody advise what to do?
Thanks,
Mark

Bug in printing graphs with trend lines in Excel 2003

I seem to have found a bug in Excel 2003 when printing a graph with

trend lines. They were plotted seemingly correctly on screen. The trend
was slowly downward, but neither trend line reached a value of 0 in the
graph. When I printed the graph, however, both trend lines suddenly do
cross the 0! I checked on the ba...
