Counting and colour coding ranges of occurances
a have a list of employee ID numbers and need to count how many times they
occur withing certain ranges. For example: if one occurs between 5-10 times
I want all occurances highlighted in yellow, if it occurs between 10-15 times
I want all occurances highlighted in blue, and if it occurs more than 15
times I want all occurances highlighted in red. Any suggestions?...

Comments.
I have two workbooks which have comments on a few of their cells.
As is appropriate, when I point to each of those cells the comments they
contain appear alongside.
But often (not always), after I have saved the workbook then opened it
up again on my return, I find that none of my comments appears when I point
at it.
Comments can be made visible again by selecting any cell...

An Operational Problem
Using Excel 2002, Excel will not maintain toolbar customizations and will
also not close properly.
1. If a button is added to a toolbar, it functions properly, but when Excel
is closed and then relaunched, the new button has vanished. Found and
deleted Excel10.xlb to no avail.

Where's the converter to open Quattro Pro 7.0 .wb3 in Excel 2003?
I've installed every option on my Office 2003 standard CD, loaded the
Office2003 Converter Pack (oconvpck.exe from Article ID : 212265 ) and
updated to the latest Office 2003 service pack. Still can't open Quattro Pro

How can I get auto sum of column when new figures are added
I have put in formula to total a column of figures, it has empty cells for
new items to be entered as they occur. It used to total in new items

is it possible to make the hyperlink relevent to the text within a cell.
i.e
if the cell said paul it would email to pauls email address or if the same
cell said mark it would email to marks email address and so on.

how do I change date from mm/dd/yyyy to dd:mm:yyyy format in Excel
I have a spreadsheet that the data, the date was input in Excel 2003 as
mm/dd/yyyy (12/31/2004), how can I convert the column of cells format to

Getting Sheets Copied From One Workbook to Another Without ....?
Hello, I have a situation where I want to move 3 sheets from one

Just heard from MS that they were 'playing' with this in the Beta2 timeframe
to try and come up with a more satisfactory conclusion for all, but the next
public release will return H/Ls back to the old instant functionality

csv file import
I have tried and succeeded in importing a .csv file into excel. This file has
numerical values. After converting the file, I try and add a few of the
numbers in one of the colunms and my answer is always #VALUE; which tells me
those numbers are being read as values and not numbers. HOW do I import the

save .xls w/o the formulas just the numbers
i have a .xls file that has been layed out very nicely (and i wasnt supposed
to change it), but the silly bugger who designed it, didnt put it the
formulas to relate various cells
where totaling stuff.
i thought i had seen someway to save the .xls with only the 'results' of the
calculations rather than w/ all the formulas in it i put in.

Vlookup problem with Access Query import into Excel 2000
I have exported from an Order Entry program to comma delimited text file
customer purchases. The file has more entries than Excel can handle on one

conditional format problem
I have two conditions
1. m2>0
2. =M2-P2<3
It only pays attention to the 2nd condition. As if its and "or" rather
than an "and".
I'm using conditional formating off the toolbar.
I want to color the cell red if both conditions are met. It works fine
if m2> 0 but it also works if m2=0. Why?
