Excel with an embedded Word Doc
I have a workbook that has an embedded word document on one of the
worksheets. This worksheet can be visible or invisible.
I have a print macro that prints out all necessary worksheets, it then
checks to see if this worksheet with the embedded doc is visible, and
if so, it launches the document.
What i need the macro to do then is to print the document and close the
application.

Conditional Formula to indicate Formula in cell
I've got a formula in a column, but in certain circumstances I may =
overwrite this formula with a number (too rare a special case to bother =

covering)
What I'd like though is to use Conditional Formatting to alter cell to =
Bold or something to show that this is *a manual override*
Can't see how you can check for formula present ?
Any ideas ?

example in the help topic
I put in a wrong formula and then I went to the function help and it said to
open a blank worksheet, Select the example in the Help topic. I can't find
the example in the help topic. Do I open a blank worksheet and then press
CTRL +C to opent the examples? I was in the ATAN function.

Problem with criteria for DSUM (Excel XP)
I'm having a problem with the criteria for a DSUM formual on a worksheet;
the workbook is a budget worksheet I got from a large non-profit that I'm
learnign and (hopefully) going to adapt for our use.
The worksheet in question is named Cash Budget. One of the expense items is
named "Conf./Training/Meeting". The column names come from another sheet

The problem I am having is when I open the workbook in question a message
appears and states "The workbook you opened contains automatic links to
information in another workbook. Do you want to update this workbook with

Hyperlink or Other Method To Return To Previous Location (Sheet) Possible?
Hi,
Just wanted to know if it is possible to have a command (Hyperlink
etc.) return you back to the previous location (sheet)?
Kind of like the Back button on Web Browsers that returns you back to

how to change format of several dates entered in an Excel column
I have several dates (in fact over 100) already entered in the Date column in
"1 Jul 1854" format. This makes it impossible to run a meaningful sort by
Date. Is there a way to change these dates to a diffirent format like
"1854-07-01"? Of course, I'm not asking how to change every date manually.
I'd like to highlight this column and change all the dates at once.

transpose data between columns, rows or cells
Hi,
How can I switch data between cells, rows or columns in one step? For
instance, if I want to switch the contents of cells A1 and B1, how do I
do that without having to retype everyting, and without having to use a
third column (that's what I do now: first I copy B1 to C1, then A1 to
B1, then C1 to A1, then delete C1 - this method is obviously very
tedious...).

Syntax for IF function
I would like to average the values in column B that lie between 2 values
in column A. What I have so far is =average(if($A3:$A100, ...value in
column A is less than 46 and greater than 34..., "" ""). I have been
unable to express the second term with the correct syntax. I assumed
that it would be ,<46>34. So what is it?

specific cell
Hi,
In my worksheet, can I make a set-up that I can only go from 1 cell to
another specific cell by just pressing the tab or enter key?
like, in a spreadsheet, there's a lot of cell, so what I did was, I
locked & protect some cells but I have to run through every cell, it
doesn't skip.

Import File
I have office 2003 excel. There is no "Import File" commands in any of
