Count is not working
Okay, this is BASIC and I feel bad for asking, but I can not get my
count to work.
I have a spreadsheet with a list of doctors names and other
information, I tried to do a count on the column using the following
formula:
=count(D:D)
And Excel gave me 0.
I tried this on other columns, it worked, there is no formula in the
column, my spreadsheet is not on manual calculate, when using...

Lookup match 2 items
I want to lookup 2 items for a match to enter 3rd item.
EPP 2.80 x? want A3 to have a lookup function
that matches both A1 and A2 to the array.

Default template wrong
I have Excel 2000, when I open a new workbook my column headers are labeled
A-Z and my rows are labeled A-Z. How do I get the rows to be labeled 1-?
again?, is this part of the default template, if so can I delete and will
Excel recreate it for me? Lastly, what is the name of the default template
for Excel?
Any help is appreciated...

Financial Spreadsheet Help (2007)
I am trying to create a stock portfolio data spreadsheet for Excel 2007,
but I am encountering many problems.
Firstly, I am trying to find a formula that will divide the current
value of the stock with the initial price. However, I receive a #Value
error (or some equivalent) whenever I try to enter
=Quotient(G6:G100,F6-F100).
Also, can Excel automatically change the color of the text depend...

Restore cell grid background
I'm working on a spreadsheet created by someone else. The cell lines are
not displayed. All I see is a white background. How do I restore the
cell lines so that I can see them?

HELP with Macros
hi,
I need some help with recording a macro but every time I try to record
the macro in the personal macro workbook, I get a pop stating that the
personal workbook needs to be opened in the start up folder in order to
record, but I don't know how to open it. I would appreciate any
suggestions.

time table
I have a time table that I enter what time I come to work and what time I
leave. I didn't program it to add the total but when I put in total hours
worked "8" it puts in 0:00. When I double click to see if there is a setting
I get this 1/8/1900 12:00:00 AM I have tried to delete this but it still
shows up. What can I do to correct this problem? Thank you...

Does anyone know of a function to determine if a number is a whole integer
and not a decimal place?

Adding a loop to conditional delete code
Hello all,
I have the following code:
Sub DelOver16()
If ActiveCell.Value >= 16 Then ActiveCell.EntireRow.Delete
End Sub
What I need to do is have the code loop through cells F2:F10000 and delete
entire rows that have a value of >=16.
How would I do that?

Vlookup
I have a vlookup sheet,I want to add notes to the cells in the vlookup
table,but when i get the information from the vlookup table to another sheet
the notes will not go over with the information .CAN ANYONE HELP.

Not sorting as expected
I have a database some 10 columns wide and 1200 rows deep. When I sort by
one particular column it sorts BLANKS before text meaning that the data
appears at the bottom of the database although still in alphabetical order.
I have the formatting set to GENERAL for the whole column and do want the
blank cells. None of the other columns do this. I am totally perplexed as I

Seemingly random .tmp files

Sheet 1 below:
A13 is a lookup from Sheet 2. I want the cell B13 to take this value and

Cant make it work
I really need help with EXCEL. Here is what I want to do!
I want it set up so I can have my credit card balances in one column,
the APR in column 2, column 3 figure out minimun payment, column 4 is
what i actually pay, and column 5 figure my new balance.

Getting a cell address and using it
I have a spreadsheet containing production information. I want to be
able to search by date (can do this using VLOOKUP), and extract
information from the same row as that date.
However, I also want to be able to extract the previous 10 entries as
