cell format
Why when entering a 12 digit number is the last digit is changed to a "0"
when saving? An example would be entering the number 123456789123 would be
saved as 123456789120. Currently my cell format is general....

remove punctuation from address
I need help removing commas, periods, parenthesis, dashes, etc from an
address file a customer supplied to me. Below is one row for example. In
order to dump the address file into our system, I need to remove the
punctuation. Is there a formula that will do this for me? The Name,
Company and address are each in a different cell.

I have a spreadsheet that I put Store names and addresses in the same cell
(say E5), I need a formula so that if E5 contains "Target" or "CVS" that in
cell F6 it will return a number. Should be easy can someone please show me

Edate problems
I am having problems wtih getting the correct date. My start date is 03/12/06
in cell C4 and I want to calculate 6 calendar months from that date into
another cell. All I end up with is 09/12/06, when it should be done in
regular calendar months. The answer should be 09/21/06 but I don't know how
to get the formula to get that date. I tried using just the date function and

Formatting Protection
Hi
I run Win2K with Excel 2K
I have a spreadsheet that is protected. Some cells on the sheet are not
protected so that data can be entered. The problem I have is that sometimes
people copy and paste this data from an external source and this results in
the formatting for the cell to be changed.
What I would like to know is there any way which I can have the spreadsheet

Drop Down List in Excel
Hello,
I need to analyse survey data in excel. I can make a drop down list in
Excel, via Validation, and get the option to enter one choice. However, one
question asks respondents to select "all" that apply.

Cell reference
I would like my macro to selelct a cell referenced by another cell. For

I created a personal data workbook stored in my company network. I do not
want any one in the office to be able to open it and read it.

Splitting one column into two
I have a spreadsheet which contains one column of names, (last name,
first name). I would like to split this into two columns so that I will
have the last name in one column and the first name in another so that I
can use either the first or last name in a mail merge.

PivotTable - cell format
Hi,
I have a PivotTable with two columns - student names and tuition.
I highlighted the **grand total tuition** with fill color. Please note that
only ONE cell had this format.
However, when I changed the column of student names to a row of student
names (by moving the "button"), all the tuition (and not just the grand
total) had the fill color. Is this a bug? Is there a way to get ...
