Count Multiples in Column
Hello-
I have a very large file. In column "G" are company names sorted alpha. But
they can be repeated row after row.
I need to know which companies are listed 3 or more times.
Adam
Adam
Bob
Bob
Bob
Charlie
Doug
Doug
Doug
Doug
So, do I put a count in a new column "H"?
Adam 2
Adam 2
Bob 3
Bob 3
Bob 3
Charlie 1
Then I need a report show if count is...

Summation of a filtered column
Hi, I've been using SUBTOTAL(9, C3:C396) to sum a column. This works when I
filter the column - it sums only the rows that are displayed. However, it
doesn't allow me to easily add more rows as I have to keep changing the
range in each column that uses SUBTOTAL (there are 12). Is there a statement
that will allow me to sum the columns of only the number of rows that are

"Tab" range
How do I change the Tab range from "next page" to "next cel"l? Just started
new job and format is set to go to next page instead of next cell and cannot

Capturing Date
I have tried writing a macro that would let me capture the date from my
computer and place it in cell D2. The captured day will be moved intact at
the end of the day
Is there a command that will let me do that?

Macro Help

data entry
I am trying to write a macro that will copy data from, lets say cell c3 and
paste it to cell c6. Each day I will be adding new data to cell c3 and
coping to the next blank cell c7, c8, c9, c10 etc.
The macro is more complicated than this and I can do everything I need to
except to add the data to the next blank cell.

combobox into another combobox
i got 2 combo boxes in a worksheet. i want to link the 2 combo boxes
together. combo2 will depend on which is selected to the combo1.
eg:
combo1 - accessories, card, ram
list in combo2 will vary on the item selected from the combo1.
let say:
combo1 - accessories have been selected
combo2 - slot fan, usb to ps2 convertor.

"Control" plus "click" doesn't allow me to select multiple cells
In excel (and a number of other applications) holding down control and
clicking with the mouse doesn't let me select multiple cells, photos, files
etc.I think I may have fiddled with the keyboard settings somehow but how do
I put it all right? I don,t appear to have a CD with my keyboard so I can't
just re-plug and play....

adding money amounts in excel
I am using a formula to calculate 10% of an amount which is rounded off to 2
decimal places. The amount is $1,952.48 and it is rounded off to $195.25
which is what I want it to do. The problem I am encountering is when I click
on the cell the actual value of the number is 195.248. When I add 10 amounts
of the value 195.25 it is calculated to be 1952.48, which is not correct.

How do I resize a complex Excel template?
I bought a template to make a calendar, the template is wonderful but doesn't
fill a full 8.5X11 sheet of paper, I've tried adjusting the margins, fiddling
with the print at %, and everything else I can think of. Is there anyway to
enlarge the calendar without resizing every cell?...
