Need Help Editing Cells
I am using W XP and Excel 2003. I have an XLS file that was created
from a CSV file. Column D of the Xls file containd a great deal of data
that is still comma seperated. For example a row may have Ford, Chevy,
Dodge... Another row in the same column may have Dodge, Honda,
Toyota...
What I want to do is delete the contents of any cell in Column D that
does not contain Honda. Any cell that ...

Averaging Columns based on a Text String

countif but have two criteria
I have a cell range that has 3 different types of cells in it. It's about
training, some have date or period when training was completed, some have
"due" plus date or period, and some are blank, yet to be filled. I need to
add the blank cells to the due ones, tried countif but only one criteria
allowed, tried sumproduct (--(A1:A500="*due*"),--(A1:A500="")) didn't work

Need help inserting picture into header/footer
I am using Excel 97 and I am trying to insert a picture file into a custom
header. I see when the header box opens up that you can insert file but yet
it doesn't show me how to insert the actual file.

How do I draw a circle around a cell I want to highlight
How do I draw a circle around a cell I want to highlight - I want to
see the text within the cell and colour the circle red. I tried
inserting a circle from the 'drawing toolbar' but I couldn't see the
text in the cell.
i have seen Excel worksheets with this feature and would like to

Excel 2003 Accountibility
I am in need of some experts to guide me in my spreadsheet. I am trying to
put an accountibility sheet together and I would like to do this. I have a
subject in A1 cell. that is constant. And I have given B1 a constant value.
Now In cells C1-H1 I will be inserting a daily count. What I would like to do
is put in the count yet I would like for It to total in the cell automaticly.

Select NON blank cells
I want to click on a cell and have only the cells that contain data in that
colum to be visible.(Lets assume I click in cell b5, then I want only the non
blank cells in col 5 to be visible)(ie the same as using "SELECT all NON
BLANK cells)

We have invoices by company name how can we select all the invoices with 1

Formatting help needed
I have started an extremely basic sheet and only want to put opening times of

How do I get the focus on a check box?
I've built a form in Excel. I've protected it. When the user is tabbing
down through the form I want it to stop at the check box so the person can
check it. Also, how do I change it from checking it with the mouse to just
hitting the space bar and having it check?...

i renamed a file i needed and lost the info how do i get it back?
I had 2 files with the same name in excel. After I excited excel, I wanted to
rename my new file, and I thought I was renaming the new file, but I actually
renamed the old file I was working in and when it said this file exists do
you want to change I said yes. I lost all my work. How do I get it back?...

Stopping spreadsheet save
Hi
We have a spreadsheet that we share among users by keeping it on a shared
location on server. The problem is that we want everyone to be able to
modify the sheet but we want to stop users making copies of the sheet to
avoid versioning issues. Is there a way to do that?

Putting a word into a cell.
I would like to put a word into a cell depending on the value in another
cell.
Example:
Cell A1=399
Cell B1=401
Cell C1=400
Cell D1= Pass or fail
So if C1 is within or equal to A1 and B1 I would like D1 to say Pass.
If C1 is outside the range of A1 and B1 I would like D1 to say Fail.
Also if its Pass I would like it to be Green text and Fail to be Red
text.

Problem Importing Fixed Width Data
I have a data set of about 700 entries from an old Pascal program that
was exported to a text file in this fomat:
ID # : 10106
Sex : Female
Raw Scores : 1 4 1 0 3 6 3
T Scores : 53 114 65 43 64 83 42
I need the headers to be ID#, Sex, Raw Scores 1-7 and T Scores 1-7 and

How do i set up a budget with self totalling column
I have made a basic budget with columns
Date, Money in, Money out, Balance
what I want to know is if there is a way for me to put a formula in the
Balance column which will recognise if there is a number in the in r out
column and if it is in the IN to add it to te previous balance and if it is

highlight color in cells
I am very new to Excel, but I know this just isn't right. Whenever I fill a
cell with a color it doesn't show up colored in my workbook sheets. It does
in print preview. I have tried just highlighting and filling a cell wil
color, using conditional formatting and coloring them that way. Nothing
seems to work, my Excel pages stay white....
