Welcome to my new thread.
Bob's formula for the last work day of the current month (brought over from another thread WEEKDAY is

Excel Template????????????????????????????????
Hello,
I am new to Excel. I just downloaded an Inventory Template and have a
question. I was inputing data in the fields, they are Gray and then white.
Everything was working fine until I came to a Gray line. After this line it
appears that there are no longer defind cells. There is no gray and white

Hyperlinks or something
I have 2 sheets (sheet one and Sheet two)
On sheet ONE in col A I have a number of entries
I want to be able to click on any one entry in sheet ONE and be taken to a
brief explanation on Sheet TWO.
Once on sheet TWO I would like to return to the starting point on Sheet ONE
Ex:
I cliick on A12 in Sheet ONE, that would take me to Sheet TWO a50

VBA code and decimals
I have some VBA code as this:
rrows=lastrow/4
if lastrow is 138 then rrows should be 34.5 but I always get 34(no decimal)

Sorting question
Excel 2003
I am working on a spreadsheet at work and would like to be able to change
the sorting order easily. There are two columns I'd like to switch around.
Column 1 is a list of part designators. They can begin with 1W, 2W, or 3W
and are followed by up to a 3 digit number. When I try to sort now, it puts
1W10 before 1W2. I *cannot* change the designator to 1W002. Is there a way

People,

How lock just some cells
I have an excel spreadsheet and I want to lock portions of it ... not all.
Can that be done. Locking alone doesn't work, but protection locks the
entire worksheet down.

Calculate Rate of Change Formula
Hi
Could someone help me w/the rate of chage formula to use when going from a
Negative to a Positive number and visa versa
In the column below - and + #s followinf each other

Help with amortization template
I have used the Amortization template but would like to adjust it so
that it automatically fills in the missing value. If I have 3 of the 4
values (note amount, term, payment and interest rate) it would fill in
the missing value and create an amortization table.
How do I do this? Thanks.

Excel 2003, when I click on a particular cell it gets deselected
While using Excel 2003, when I click on a particular cell, within 30 seconds,
that particular cell gets deselected followed by the workbook. So each time I
need to click either the cell or workbook to enter data in that particular
sheet....

How can I check a cell for current date and insert it if blank?
I am modifying the invoice template. I want to create a formaula that checks
the date cell for the current date. If a date occupies the cell nothing
happens, otherwise, the current date is inserted. Can this be done?

Excell 2000 or Excell 2003 can a formula be set up to use letters and numbers
like V2 to record in column for v the number 2 if the input is v4 the number
would be 4 and in the same cell the combination of T3 could be entered and in
the column for t would record 3....

Protected Worksheets and Comments
Hi all,
I would like to be able to be able to add comments to a protected worksheet.
I am using Excel 2007 Beta.
When I "protect" the sheet, I do the following...
Yes = Select locked cells
Yes = Select unlocked cells
Yes = Edit Objects
Once the sheet is protected, I am able to click on add-comment, but then I
am told the sheet is protected and this is not allowed.
Any ideas...
