Can any body tell me why when I go to divide with the MOD function it does
not work ?? I am trying to use a1((100)) and divide by 2 . anwser is 50
Does the divide function array work ??? If I try and type in mamual it works

Empty Date Cell as Zero
I am trying to tie a formula to a cell that contains a starting date.
However, when this "starting date" cell is empty, I want the
corresponding formula to read it as zero. Because the "starting date"
cell is formatted as a date, the corresponding formula seems to still
show blank cell as having a default date in it, and returns a value for
that cell.

UDFs return #NAME error sometimes, other times, they work
So I have a spreadsheet with a bunch of cells that use a UDF. Sometimes when
I open the spreadsheet, some of the cells that have this UDF show a #NAME
error. Pressing F9 seems to clear these errors.
Is there some setting which forces UDFs to calculate automatically?

EXCEL 2007 B2TR ERROR
In some cases, when copying a cell (formula) to other location the relative
references are no updated. For instance: cell B3 = A3. When I copy B3 to B4
the formula remains A3 (instead of A4). I have a file to show the problem. I
just do not know to whom should I send the file.

I have a cell with a formula in sheet1 which points to another worksheet cell
(sheet2!$A$1). Now I want to copy this cell to another cell in sheet1, but
Excel keeps shifting the cell value in my formula (sheet2!$A$2)... How can I

How to use validation formulas in Combobox
What I want to do is for when the user selects a cell, a combo box based on
the field name pops up for better viewing and autocomplete, after a couple of
keystrokes the selection is complete and a {Tab} or {Enter} key will populate
the cell and it will be validated and move to the next cell. I have the data

I understand how to use the concatenate function to merge several cells with

percentage?
my question is i am trying to find the percent of an average. ( i have a
spread sheet of 14 people) I am trying to
get an 'average' percent of all their combined percentages. WHen some
employees are not at work then i leave thoese colums blank and i receive an
erro # DIV/O! and my percent total at the bottom, also reflects the same

Copy macro to another workbook

I greatly enjoy "playing" with macro's in excel created by recording my
actions; I have no programing back ground so I'm afraid Visual Basic is a

Summary Sheet help with multiple sheets
I have an excel workbook with multiple sheets. (Let's say that Sheet 1
is the summary sheet and sheets 2, 3 and 4 are the sheets in which data
is entered)
I want the information from sheets 2, 3, and 4 to come into the summary
sheet (sheet 1) in the order that they are entered. For example, if I

I am not able to copy it nor open it. Usually if someone else had it open I
would be given the option to open a 'Read Only' copy.
