format cell on other cell infromation
I want to change the format of a cell depending on another cell's number. I
am looking for something like this:
For CELL A2=IF(A1=1,set the fill color to red, set the fill color to green)
Can anybody tell me th function for this setting color or other Cell
properties?...

ASAP utilities addin
Help! I got a message to update my ASAP utilities addin, so I followed
the directions but once installed I get a password dialog saying
"ASAP_addin_setup password". I never had this before. Has anyone else
tried to update ASAP utilities and had this problem?? I am running
Excel 2003 on Windows XP with a fully-enabled (admin) login.

automate the colouring of lots of cells
Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me as i don't know where to start!
I have a column in an excel spreadsheet which is full of numbers in the
format 00:00:00 (HH:MM:SS).
There are alot of fields in this column!!!
What i have just had to do manually is go through and change the fill
colour of the cells if the value is greater than or equal to 00:20:00.

Help with Graph Axis
I have a report that I add to weekly, and each new line will be the monday of
that week. Part of the report is a graph that I update, simply by changing
the data the graph uses to include the new row.
So the horizontal axis on the graph is every 7 days (Mondays), but the
problem occurs because I need to have vertical lines on the graph to signify
the beginning of the month.

Unable to change field settings in calculated field in a pivot tab
I have a pivot table that uses a calculated field in the data items section.
This is just a simple calculated field that divides one column by the other
from the data list.
The calculated field works fine, except that I need the data averaged and

Cells no longer highlighted in XL2003 edit mode?
In Excel 2003 edit mode, with F2 or double-clicking in the cell...
I USED to be able to see the highlighted cells and the formula, but with
or without Edit Directly in Cell enabled, and the formula displayed in
the cell, referenced cells are no longer highlighted in edit mode...
Any ideas how to restore the cell highlighting?

Strange behavior
Everytime I bold a word, print preview, save the spreadsheet etc... the hour
glass appears and my network LAN Connection Status begins to transmitt and I
can see my network equipment flashing indicating it's passing data. I can't
figure out what is going on, I tried a blank spreadsheet entered the letter A
in cell A1 then hit bold and the same thing happens....

How to Stop Explorer from Opening Online Excel Files
I am downloading a CSV file into Excel from a web page that automatically
creates the CSV file. Before my update to Office XP, the file would
automatically download into an Excel spreadsheet using the Actual Excel

How do I insert a row at the end of a table.
If I click the last row and use "insert row" function, it will insert the row
before the last row. If I click the first row below the table and use
"insert row" the row will insert below but not in the table. If I just type
in the first row below the table, the row doesn't get added to the table. I
am stumped.

I've inherited a workbook with some 100 or so defiined names, each of them
tailored to refer to vertical single-column ranges in different sheets in the

Hyperlink open with...
Okay I am setting up a web desktop to do list for myself and I have decided
that creating it in Excel was the easiest seeing as I just needed a table

Formatting and the "go to" command
I'd like to use the "go to" command where the cursor goes to the last row
with data. When I use the "Special" command and select "last" it goes to the
last formatted cell, not the last cell with data in it.
Can I go to the last cell with data entered in it without going to the last
formatted cell (that may be empty?)
If not, how do I delete formatting? I formatted rows and columns ...

web query - stops at login to private data
My work dates for one client are on the web. I use my login and password to
view the work dates page. I have set up a webquery to download the data for
invoicing.
However it is only automatic for the first time I set it up. Subsequent
refreshes stop at the login. I would love to know how to automate entering
my login and password to shave a few minutes off this chore.

Exporting dates to a path
I'm trying to setup a spreadsheet so that when someone enters a date in the
first field, it exports the month and year to another field containing a path
to data from another spreadsheet.
For example, if the path is C:/excel/09_2006/filename.xls, how can I set
this up so when you type in the date of 10/1/2006 it updates the path called
for to C:/excel/10_2006/filename.xls?
