Create comment from cell range
Does anyone know if it's possible to automatically create notes based off of
data from a range of cells?
For example Sheet1, Cell A2 would have a note that displays the data that
exists in the cells on Sheet 2, Cells B5-B7. As the data in Cells B5-B7
change, the note would automatically change as well, since it is displaying
whatever is contained in those cells at that time.

Restore window "hides" worksheet
I have three worksheets open in a full excel window. When I hit the
"restore window" button at the upper right (the one that makes them
partial windows) two of them get smaller and the other vanishes. If I
click on the right click on the excel filename down in the toolbar and
select minimize the file goes to the bottom left of the excel screen as

adding a formula
I have a macro set up that imports a query from access and adds page breaks
where I need them. (at the end of each group) I do not want them on seperate
spreadsheets. Is there a way to set up a macro that when I run it, it will
insert a blank line at the end of each group and then put a formula to add.
My problem is: the next time I import I may have more rows of information in
one ...

auto add page breaks
I import a report from Access into Excel that has grouped together East
Precinct, West Precinct, North Precinct and Central Precinct. Is there a way
I could have excel automatically insert a page break at the end of each
group? I want it all on the same spreadsheet, I just want East on page 1,
west on page 2 and so on. Can this be done?...

Creating a log with info from worksheets......
Ok, so I am creating a log in one sheet that is getting the information from
cells in other worksheets. This is working fine as long as I am only
requiring it to do so when the worksheet is only addressing one issue (i.e.
issue #326....). What is happening now is that I am tracking it by numbers
(i.e. issue #326 is correlated by our issue #26) but on the worksheet I now

How do I embed an email in an excel file?
Hi,
I'm trying to set up an excel document so the user can drag and drop and
email from outlook into the spreadsheet as an embedded object. When I try to
drag an email now, it just copies the Subject, From, and To sections.

Pivot Table and Text
Is it possible to have text as a result in a pivot table? For example, if I
have an employee and a supervisor and I want to link these to their
task/duties. Or maybe I have an employee with multiple jobs, each with a
different duty.
If there isn't an option in a Pivot Table, maybe somebody could recommend

Pivot Tables
In a pivot tables, I can hide the lines but how do you make the lines fill in
for all the information especially name..
Example:
I have four lines with information for Joe Smith but it only puts his name
in the first line and I need it in all four lines...

Ignore page breaks for hidden rows
Is there a way to ignore page breaks in hidden rows when printing? When I
hide rows that contain page breaks a blank page still prints (except for the
print titles).
I'd rather not use any vba since the security settings of the many users
often block the macros.
Any suggestions?

SQL for Oracle
I used Microsoft Excel Query to create a query that looks up an Oracle
database and of course brings results back to the spreadsheet based off the
fields from the tables and criteria I select.
Basically I have 3 tables joined by 3 different key fields.
The criteria is where I run into problems. And I'm thinking at this point
that it may just be that Excel can't handle the criteria brea...

Excel row's limit
i am trying to export some data into an excel spreadsheet from a voxpro
program, there should be 20,390 rows of data to be exported but excel only
allow's 16,384. is there a fix for this or a way around it?

Variations in a sheet's Visible status
At one time, wasn't it possible to set a tab in a workbook to something
like "HopelesslyHidden"? That's pinging in my memory but I can't find
anything about it. I'm seeing hidden named ranges that refer to tabs

Phantom named ranges in a workbook?

Problem with Personal.xls
Windows XP Pro SP2
Excel 2002 SP3
For some reason Personal.xls isn't opening with Excel. The file exists, and
it's located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\My User Account\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel

Conditional Formula help
=OR($F$1=5,$O$1=5000)This formula works fine if both conditions are met. How
would you rewrite it to show in red if only one or both conditions are met.
Say there is only a 5 in F1 and no 5000 in O1 or 5000 in O1 and no 5 in F1. I
