Conditional Formatting to Hide Rows or Columns?
I'm currently using Excel 2002 SP3. I use conditional formatting in many
of my spreadsheets, but I haven't been able to figure out how to "Hide"
a row or column based on a certain condition. Is there a method for
doing this already built into Excel's functionality, and if not, is
there a way to do it with VBA? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

row of $ numbers don't crossfoot
a list of employee pay is being multiplied by the medicaid, ss and disability
rates to end with a net pay assuming no fed or state withholding. the
formula for the net is the gross less the three calculated tax results. the
result net pay is off by a penny in several cases probably due to rounding in
the formula but i can't figure out how to resolve.

conditional formatting with text
I am trying to make three conitional formats on a cell with text.
The cell text will be one of the following:
Di......
Do.....
or something else.
If the text begins with Di, I wat the cell format to be red text.
If the text begins with Do, I want the cell format to be blue text.
If the text does not begin with Di or Do, I want the cell format to be black

Borders hidden by small blank pictures
When I open an Excel 2000 worksheet in Excel 2003, sometimes some of the
cell borders appear to be hidden. When I click one of those hidden borders,
I see six handles and a green rotate handle surrounding what appears to be

Copy Tab function not working
For some reason, the copy tab function is not working for me. I can move
Tabs, but when I highlight the tab(s) and select "copy", nothing happens.

Numbers act like text
We get spreadsheets from another application that have a column of "numbers"
that act like text. The only way to get them to act like numbers is to copy
them out to a text file and then copy them back in. Is there an easier way?...

Urgently need help with a formula!!!
Hello,
I'm badly in need of some help with an excel formula. Essentially I

How can SS#s be displayed as text with all zeros and no dashes?

I have a list of about 2,000 social security numbers in excel. Some are
formatted with an apostrophe to preserve the first zero. I need them all to
be a string of nine numbers with no dashes and to preserve the first zero in

Re-sorting linked data cells

Help with formula
=OR($F$1=5,$O$1=5000)The problem with this formula working is the formula in
cell F1 is being read as text (I think) and I need it to read as numerac.
