vba sourcecode to convert pdf to xls
Hello,
Does anybody know a home page where an example of a vba source code is
listed, which enables to convert a pdf file (with tables) into an xls
file.
I would need some ideas how to do this, in order to write my one little
vba programme.
Thanks in advance

Here's the scenario, I have to accumulate hours and days that I work. I am

When I reach a certain number of hours, I have to bill for a full day rate.
Is there a way to keep a running total and when it hits that magic number,

transpose columns into rows--with a twist
I've got two columns. Column A contains the ID; column B contains a
list of subjects, delimited by comma. For example:
HappyValley A,B,C,D,E,F
What I'd like to do is to break up the list in column B using
text-to-columns, but then turn each list item into a separate row,
paired with the ID from column A. Thus, the row above should produce:
HappyValley A

Migrating from Excel 2002 to Excel 2003
Hello,
Our company is finally moving from Office 2002 (Excel) to Office 2003
(Excel) and I am wondering if there will be any problems, issues using Excel
2003 from files created from Excel 2002. I don't think so unless an Active
X is embedded in a marco or in the actual file. Any tips or know issues
will be appreciated. Thank you advance.

Toolbars hide where?
Apologies, I've not kept a note of when you told me before - where do XL
toolbars and their custom buttons hide?
Universal macros are in PERSONAL residing in Application
Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\
No problem with Word - it's all in Normal - but I don't think they are in
PERSONAL since they sometimes disappear when the is no problem with
PERSONAL.
Thanks again.

Speeding up Excel - Large amounts of data, no complex formulas
Hi There,
I am currently investigating what is the most cost effective way of
speeding up excels calculations for large spreadsheets. The sheets do
not contain what I would consider to be overely complex formulas with
the main tools being VLOOKUP, with maybe a few nested IF statements.
No complex maths as it mainly database manipulation type activity.
Currenlty it is taking too long to ...

Convert formula imnto values
Hi,
In a column of my spreadsheet there are only VLOOKUP functions, all working properly.
But now I want to replace that function, with the value found by that VLOOKUP function.
I found something like doube click (in-cell editing) and then F9, but that only works for one cell
at a time.
Anyone who has any idea how to do that for a complete column or maybe complete spreadsheet.

After sorting the list by the item name, I now wish to have excel
insert a blank line between each different name. So basically this:
