Access 2003 with Office 2003 SP2
If i use "officeupdate" to update my office 2003 installation (to install the
SP2), it starts, but near the end, the installation cannot continue and fail.
If i download the whole Office 2003 SP2 (Office2003SP2-KB887616.exe - 103
Mb) , the installation complete succesfully.
All the application works and report SP2, BUT Access 2003, no longer works.

Reduced functionality
If I try to view/create a report in design view the button doesn't work. If
I try the design report wizard it fails at the end. The KB doesn't help.
Is this an activation issue? The install is activated. Can I reactivate it?

Use Map drive for back end or not?
Hi there,
I am ready to try split database for the first time for multiple users
enviroment. I have few questions about split database.
1. I have heard and read that mapped drive is not a good idea to place a
backend. but in my case where all the users will be using one mapped drive I
dont see reason why not to use mapped drive.

Access 2003 Over the Web through VPN
Hi, Guys,
I have an Access Database(file) which is about 1Mb(may increase to
around 10Mb) in size. For security reason, I have to place the
file(.mdb format) in another location, linked by VPN(server side is
only Windows XP Pro) over ADSL(server side upstream is 128K) through
the Net.
At the moment, I connect through the VPN and get into the share folder

change default radio button for send update to attendees
while scheduling a meeting if we add/delete any attendee and modify subject

Opening Access mdb's in shared folders.
I have two users who were recently set up for VPN connection. Now they can't
open any Access Mdb's on the LAN. This happens regardless of being on the LAN
or using the VPN. Any Ideas?...

Access 2000
Had Office 97 on PC, did a system restore decide to go with Office 2000. When
opening Access it always opens like it was installed for the first time, none
of the other Office programs do that. Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint all
open properly it is only Access that I get the Office Configure window. Does
anyone hadany ideas what would cause this?...

How do I install MSDE?
This is a re-post. Please excuse but the first ended up in the wrong

How do I install MSDE in Office 2000? I can not locate it on the CD and
understand it is to be installed manually from the CD.

Sound effect problem
Can anyone help me to solve the problem:
When i play any soung the sound changed. Male voice changed to female voice.
e,g. the sound of Tom Jonse is a tipical male voice , but change to a
female's voice.

Virtual Server 2005 install not working
I've just installed Virtual Server 2005 and I get this when I try to access
the administration website

App deployment
Hi
I have an access frontend/backend app which I update frequently to add new
features. At the moment, on a network with large number of client PCs I need
to copy the mde file individually on all pcs and create icon etc. Is there a
easier way to deploy an access app to multiple pcs in a network?
