System crashed in the middle of an MDB compaction
I'm trying to help out a friend of mine who had his system lock up while he
was performing a database compaction. After he rebooted and opened Access,
the MDB file was missing and there was a COM in it's place. If he selects
All File Types, he is able to open the COM file. What should he do to
recover from where he is at now?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

A question about Office Access 2003 Developer Package Wizard
Hello,
Why an installation package produced with Office Developer Package Wizard
2003 isn’t recognized like an older installation package I’ve produced a
couple years ago even when I use exactly the same template to produce both
installation packages and they are, as I can see, absolutely identical.
I have inclusively changed the revision number of the appfile.msi to the
revision n...

Access will not permit me to open reports on new computer
An existing database has been in operation on desktops and network for some
time. When opening the database on a new laptop (via the network) it will not
permit me to open any of the reports or run any macro that references a
report. Tables, queries etc are all OK but only reports are a problem.
I assume it is a setting somewhere but cannot find what is wrong.

I'm going to deploy Office 2003 via SMS 2003. However, we keep seeing

Rollup 1 so that should take care of the Jet 4.0 part. I know that I can

prevent this mess...
