Changes to multi-user app after splitting?
I have built a database that is going to be used by 6 persons, running the
back end on a SBS 2000 server.
I have read a fair amount about splitting, which everybody seems to say is A
GOOD THING to do.
Question: once I have done the installations and the splitting, and
everything is installed and running, if (no, when) I make changes to anything

FrontEnd mdb bloats quickly - A2003
Hello --
Please let me know if there is a more appropriate newsgroup for this post.
The size of the front end mdb increases quickly after running a few of the
menu options.
There are no tables in the front end which are used during processing.
Can someone help me determine which objects in the front end are becoming
bloated and what to do about it?
Thanks in advance for any help.

MSACCESS.EXE does not stop after exiting Access 2003
Occasionally, the MSACCESS.EXE process does not stop after I exit Access. The
process shows about 50% CPU usage in Windows Task Manager. Sometimes memory
usage increases slowly but not always. As far as I can tell, there is nothing

Access buttons disabled
Hello,
When trying to use access wizards (and some other features) the buttons do
not appear to work. They are not greyed out, and they do appear to click but
nothing happens. For example, after opening the Table Wizard, the '>' button
does not move a field from the Sample Fields to the Fields in My New Table.
It the same for 'Cancel' buttons as well; I have to use Alt-F4 to close a

have run into problems in the past from 2.0 to '95, 95 to '97, and to a
lesser degree '97 to 2000. We have many different access databases in use,
for many different purposes. Before we install the updated version, I need
to find out if there are any potential problems we might encounter with the

2007 beta can't convert back to '97
First, I installed Office 2007 beta and it overwrote my Office 2003...
Then, I figure out I can no longer save my Access database as an Access '97
database. While I realize this software is 10 years old, my client still uses
it. I develop in 2003 (now 2007), and then save in '97. Well, no longer. Any
ideas? Did I just miss the command?
