Unauthorized user
Recently, I must allow Access to open an application I've been using for the
past 5 years. It asks if I want to block unsecured objects. Even when I
download Service Pack 8 for MS Jet 4.0, it still doesn't work right.
Even more recently, it simply says I don't have the user rights to open the
application and I should ask the administrator (me) to grant me the
permission!
Could this be du...

Problem with form to change passwords - with new MDW file
I have a form for a user to change his/her password in a secured db. After
applying the security wizard and using the default SYSTEM.MDW file, the form
works exactly as it's supposed to (many thanks to previous posts from Gunny,
Joan Wild, and the other experts).
Since the front end of this database will be on a network drive, I changed
the name of the mdw file and successfully made a ...

Edit User Name/password problem
I created my usergroup through the security wizard with (I think) success.
However, when I went to add the secure shortcut to two individual's computer
desktops, I realized I had spelled their names incorrectly. How embarassing
for me. Using my desktop shortcut, I shifted in, went to tools/security and
deleted these two people and re-entered them with correct spelling. But

Getting DB to users
Hi,
I think I have successfully used the security wizard and created a shortcut
to the db, which ended up on my desktop.
My problem is, how do I now get this secured shortcut to the other users? I
tried sending it via outlook, and it was blocked as a potentially harmfull
attachment. Now what do I do?...

Hi All
This is my second post; can anyone help?
I have inherited a MS Access Database from which I have removed all security
ie. I can freely make changes to Tables, Forms, Reports and Queries. The
problem is I still cannot access the code modules. I see modules are not
listed under User Permissions.
Any insights anyone..?

You don't have the necessary permissions
Using Access 2002,
I'm the creator of the database, using a front-end, and a back-end MDB's. I
secured both files. And I placed the MDW file on the server for everyone to
attach to. Everything works fine when using the server MDW.
The moment I copy the MDW file locally and attach myself to it, I get "You
