just need to create a function and call it with a macro
I have some code that I want to use to "pause" my macro, and in the macro
designer I see where I can set a RunCode to call a function, but where
exactly do I put the code for the function so the macro can call it?
the simplest of frustrations... :)

Macro / Query - Can't Update
I have a macro that calls a query that I need to update. The Edit Mode on the
macro is set to 'Edit' but no changes can be made... would someone please

Issues with ApplyFilter, using a value imported from Excel.
I have set up a macro to grab a cell from Excel and store it in a table. It
is the only value in that table. I now want to set up a macro that takes that
value, and applies it to a filter. I have tried using the ApplyFilter macro,
but have not been able to get it to function. I don't think I've been setting
the "Where condition" properly, this is how I have it set up now:

Medai Player
Using this RunApp command line to launch the medai file, I have created a
macro to run a media file:

Menu minimises forms

All my forms are maximised OnOpen - Dcmd.Maximise.
I have a Menu Form (Auto resized and centered) which can be called up from
the Toolbar. When the Menu is opened, it minimises all open froms.
Any way to stop this and leave the open forms maximised?

Date default
We use an OLE called DtPicker.
It is always defaulting to Oct 18, 2005 (the start date of using Access).

Issue:
I have a table with trailer# , exit date, etc..
Once an exit date is entered I would like for the record to be moved to
another table or deleted all together.
I know that this moving data to another table is a no no usually but my
reasoning behind this...We could end up having duplicate trailer
numbers and I have a form with a command button that pulls up "Find"
and the person search...

Automated Task
Hello all I am trying to set up an automated task to run a macro in Access.
Looking at this forum..I need to put somethingl ike;
"C:\Tm.MDB" /x "SendMail" in the tasktab of Scheduler where SendMail is

Macro to import tables ...Please help
I need a macro to import all tables in a database on my hard drive into
another database so I always have up to date information. The path name to

how do u turn confirmation message off in Access
I want to run a macro overnight that contains action queries. The problem is
how do I turn the confirmation message off. I have used
Tools_Options_Edit/find tab_Action Queries. The issue is that the queries use
data from tables hosted in America. Access help states that this is classed
as a 'data access page' and checking the action queries box will not work.
Can anyone please advise of ...

VERY ODD - Export Query Results with "#" to Excel.....Problem ??
I've got a query which displays contact information.
In the Address field....there is sometimes a "#" symbol (e.g. 145 Oak Street
#7).
I've got a Macro which will export the results of that query to XLS. It uses
the OutPut TO function in the Macro settings.
HOWEVER....when it is run.....it will output all the records....but the
Address field will only show the "7" in the address CE...

smoothly when I open the subform itself separately from the main form.

macro to open any query in database
I'm trying to construct a macro that will open any query in a database. I
see that I can use the 'OpenQuery' action to open a specfic query by
supplying the name of the query as an argument. Is there a way to set up a
macro so that when it runs, the user is presented with a list of all the
queries in the database, and must choose which one to run?

Design change to macro after upgrade
Since converting a secured db from Access 97 to Access 2002, I am not able to
make design changes to macros or create new macros unless I open the database
exclusively. Is there any way around this? I checked under Tools / Options,
and the default is Shared. This always worked in Access 97, multiple users
and I was still able to make design changes to macros as long as they weren't

conditional macros for Access Database
I'm running confused here between Marcro's, SQL, and VB. I want to do enough
