Ending Excel Automation Object in Access 2003
Howdy,
I have gotten some good advise from Ken Snell, but I need a bit more. Using
Office 2003, I am using Access to put data into a series of Excel files. The
problem is that Excel is left running in memory when done. I've gone through
my code and tried to ensure all late binding was used, all Excel ranges
referenced through automation objects, etc.. Still, Excel remains loaded in

Opening Excel spreadsheet from Access does not refresh data
Hi,
I have a spreadsheet with a sheet that's linked to a query in my database
with automatic refresh on open. I also have a switchboard in the database
item that starts the following code to open the spreadsheet:

Lookp Acrobat install location in code and assign to a variable
In the code below I have hard coded the path to where Acrobat is installed.
What I really need is to look up the install path via code and write it to a
variable so that the code can be computer independent.
For instance, this is where the patch is stored in the registry.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Acrobat.exe

Check if Excel file is open before transfer spreadsheet
Hello,
I have this bit of code. The transfer spreadsheet command does not appear
to be returning all of the data properly if the excel file is open when the
command is executed.
Does anyone know how I can check if the selected file is open so I can run
that check before i execute the transfer spreadsheet command?

Outlook express problem
Hi,
I am getting some emails through that appear blank when downloaded into
Outlook express and I can only read the content of these after saving into
My Documents. The last one I got was in MIME format, could this be the
problem? How do I set up outlook to display these messages?
