Help with update query
I have a primary table with student names and an autoNumber Student ID.
In another table (Attendance) I have the names of students and want to
assign the correct StudentID to the LastName in the Attendance table. Help?

I need some direction here please
I am looking for some direction here and hoping you can help.

working with tables, data from one to another...
HI! I have a drop down box with codes in it. Those code represent a dollar
value, which I a)need to assign to the code and b)change periodically. Then
the $ amount needs to go in to a fee's box. So, I select the code, and the
dollar amount automatically appears in the fee's box. I know this means 2

concatenating multiple records from a query into one field
I am new to access. I have a multi select list box on a customer form. I was
able to find code to insert behind a command button that will loop through

Filter out files that are blank?
I've read and tried queries, sorts, reports, articles, posts, etc., but still
can't figure out how to run a report that will leave off the records that are
blank in one field.
Example: I have 1 field that may have a date entered. If it's blank, I do
not want it to print on the report.
I've tried all types of processes, but can't make it work.
Any ideas?

Date Index with Multiple-Indices
I'm having trouble getting my table to show dates in correct order when it is
the second index. I have a table with no primary key. There are duplicate
names and dates, (unique entries are determined by both date and name) Eg.

LCD Projector
I sometimes will conduct training on the databases that I create. When I do
so, I use a LCD Projector in a classroom setting so I can have multiple
people looking on. The problem is that the screen is "grainy" and no matter
what I do I can not get a crystal clear picture. What am I doing wroing????

Partically Linked Data
I have a table but want a second (sub) table with some of the data. I need

How do i make a query which has additional fields the master table does not
have?
(I query a Yes/No field from the master list, so now I have a Last Name, and
a field with a check box, but I want to add more fields to just this table,

Sub-table with linked info and then some
I have a master table with a list of people. These people register for our

Hi,
I am new to access and made a big mistake and accidentally deleted some
columns on a database i was working on. Unfortunately, the columns got
permanent deleted. I am trying to make new columns in that database, but the
program does not allow me to do so. It tells me "too many fields defined."

can't enter data into form fields
I am having a problem in MS/Access, and I don't know that much about
it and would appreciate any help/direction. Sorry this is so long in
advance.
Over the weekend we moved to a new server. We have an access data
base dealing with warranties and related information. In the access
programs, it referred to a customer master file for name/address/etc.

Blank Pages in Report

I have a report that is supposed to be 2 pages long. However, it prints out
as 4 with two blank pages in between. How can you tell in design view how to
add the second page of information without allowing a blank page in between?

Macro muddle, eliminate the nag
I’ve created a simple macro that uses the SetValue action to store a
calculated value in the underlying table of a form control.
It works, pushing the calculated value into the tablefield as necessary,
but with an admonitory error message popping up as I tab to different
controls in the form. I’d like to eliminate the nagging.

Primary key derived from name fields
I want to generate a StudentID (that I want to be the Primary Key) from the
first 3 letters of the LastName and then the first two letters of the
FirstName automatically after I capture the student names. Can this be done
so that if a duplicate is generated a numeral (1,2 or 3) is added to the key?
Can anyone help?
